I assumed the engagement ring on my fiancee's finger at the interview would be proof enough. I also provided the receipt for her ring, with the price blacked out of course.... that is not important.... Ken

I kept the price visible so they know that I am not screwing around or playing games with this process. That is just how I think though.

Why not show them the Bank Statement where the Check you paid for the Ring was withdrew.
Why not show them the Credit Card Statement where the Charge was made for the Ring.

The Way I look at it is: you need to show them the "Big Picture" of your relationship. It is an "on-going" relationship where proof of engagement and communication are the vital parts of the WHOLE relationship. So, tell your story well with solid and convincing evidence/proof. Keep that in mind when you go through the whole process, they want to see the Big Picture biggrin.gif

Look directly under section 5 : ( it did not copy directly ).
THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS MUST BE ATTACHED IN ORDER TO APPLY FOR A FIANCE(E) NONIMMIGRANT VISA.
Evidence of Engagement to Your Fiancé(e)
Evidence of Financial Support
NOTE All of the above documents will also be required by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration

The whole chain of evidence and where it ties in is not very clear - It feels like a revolving door or a cicrular argument

As part of the K1 packet info sent to her in the Phil., in addition to all the required forms, they list a buch of "stuff" that must be supplied, including "evidence of relationship." I wonder if they expect a seperate set of "proof" attached to the form in addition to all the other "stuff" I'm sending with my fiance?
