Darah~ I had a fair amount of luck emailing the embassy. I found that providing as much information in my emails as possible got me a better response. Also I emailed the same message over and over til I think they got sick of me and replied just so I would leave them alone

Well i am going to try to call the embassy this week (wish me luck) to see if packet 3 is being mailed out, I sure hope it is, I called his friend this evening to ask if she had got it yet and she said no, she has been checking her mail everyday for it. She asked if she could go down to the embassy and get it, I told her I was not sure that I will ask when I call, she said that she would go to the embassy and got it if they will let her pick it....I dont think they will let someone other then the benificerary pick it up...does anyone know if they will allow this?

Ok Ladies,
I need some prayers, today I am kinda depressed, I really want to get packet 3 soon. Waiting for NOA2 was stressful but I delt with it OK. The thing that is bothering me is that if Adrian was in JA he could have already picked up the packet and turned in the DS230 form and we would be on our way, but since he is on the ship he cannot go get it, I feel like telling him to quit his job on the ship on Sunday when they are in California and go back to JA to take care of things, the only thing is we really dont have the money for him not to be working for a couple months, I mean we could get by but I dont want to have to struggle.
I just wish that they have not changed the rules and make it mandatory that they go to the embassy to pick it up...I did notice that last month that guy Robert that has posted a couple times recieved his in the mail!!!!!!

I feel better now, i just talked to Adrian a little bit ago and he said the same thing "everything comes in due time".Yes I have almost everything ready, I dont have the letter from my employer yet I was waiting till closer to time I didnt want it to be too outdated....When I saw Adrian last Sunday I had the DS230 form filled out and he signed it, so it is ready to be sent to the embassy as soon as we recieve packet 3.

Well it looks like I will be going back to the Island for a couple weeks to get the call center in New Kingston back up. Now to call the embassy and try to get an interview for my wife while I'm already in JA. Should be a fun one, if I can even get through.

The lady was really very nice and even tho we had only credit cards as financial evidence, I kept handing her other stuff and that must have made the dif. She even stamped his passport, and told us she was going to approve us and we should get the green card in about 3 weeks.

After 45 minutes of a ringing phone, and most people in my office questioning what was going on what I found was, Nickiesha does not have an interview date yet, and they have schedulede April. I was told that I should check with the information desk at the embassy when I arrive as they may be able to do something. (Like someone is really going to cancel)

Though I planned to use it for the interview when it happened anyway. At the office, they know what is going on... and they are more than willing to help.
We shall see, I am the Corporate Jamaican lol... Actually my Mom is from Jamaica and I have Dual Citizenship. Depending on how the startup goes, it's hard to say how long I could be there.
I could be leaving as early as next week.
Worst thing that can happen is it will be a free trip to see the wife. Can't complain....

Our trip was wonderful. Damien was so happy to see his family and friends. We spent quality time together - it felt like we fell in love all over again. We had dinner with my mother, aunt and Damien's father and brothers - it was very nice. He was a little emotional at the airport. He made out of JA with no problems with the AP but they made him wait 45 minutes in Fort Lauderdale so we missed our flight to DC - after waiting in line for almost an hour because part of the airport was closed so 6 international flights landed at the same time. US Airways booked us on the next flight with no problems. I miss JA already.

Well I am at work (as usual)...geeesss I am working 72 hours this week
..but i guess I cannot complain I can sure use the money. I was going to try and call the embassy today but the position I am working at work today would not allow me to sit on hold for hours, I am answering 911 calls today so I guess it would not be a good idea to be on hold with the embassy and not answer the 911 calls ...at my work sometimes I work a radio channel and assist the firefighters when they are on emergency calls and then other days I answer 911 calls, when I work the radio channels I have more free time to make phone calls.... 
well anyway enough about my job...hope everyone has a great day!!!!

We're going back in July for the Sumfest. My cousin and I are planning to take the kids Memorial day weekend. I hope Damien will be able to go (depending on his job). Both trips are short so hopefully we'll get a long one later in the year.

Some Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays - I'm stuck watching WWE wrestling and the NBA channel almost every night. I REALLY dislike watching them both. But he has to watch Will & Grace with me or a Lifetime movie Ditto
Tony is obsessed with action movies - anything with Jet Li or Jackie Chan or the James Bond movies - he will watch them over and over again Drives me crazy! The only night I get the remote control is on Sundays to watch Desperate Housewives & Grey's Anatomy! Usually, the rest of the week I sit with him but I read a book or magazine
Alright everyone!! Hello!! Did you think I fell off the face off the earth!!! Oneil and I are good. He is adjusting to everything pretty well. He even loves the cold! Can you imagine. So help me understand something! AOS. Do you have to send in the EAD with the AOS package. If you dont sent it in is it going to be forever until you get approved to work??? I am just thinking do I have to pay another $180.00 when the work Auth would be approved with the AOS. I am confused, probably because I have done this before and it was different then.
And whoever is in MN, how long did it take to get an EAD approval?

Well I finally got through to the embassy and they said that since I already have the DS-230 form filled out and signed by Adrian to over night it to them and they will set an interview date, as Eric already said they have already made April interviews so I will probally get a May date
They said they mailed packet 3 out on Fed. 21st and that people are having problems not recieving them in the mail, but she did say that someone can go and pick it up for him, which is a good thing.
So tonight I am going to Fed ex to get the DS230 form on its way to JA...
I am happy now...a few more months and he will be here....I know you all know how I feel.
