Hi everyone! Can anyone tell me what they did for the Medical exam for AOS? Oneil came on a K1 so he does not need another medical. It says to fill out a I-693A but there is no such thing as the A part. Do I have to go to the civil surgeon to get the form or can I just send a copy of immunization card??? Anyone anyone? I am going to post this under AOS also.

the civil surgeon should have the form..... please call and askthe price and also if they are familar with it..... i got quotes from $80-365. half of them still thought the whole exam was needed even though i explained what a wanted.... oh bring the paper your fiance got from the doctor in jamaica

Thanks to Jamie - I used Occuhealth - paid $35.00 and got medical supplement in the mail yesterday along with a copy for our records! They were so nice (and fast). I spent so much money in Kingston for shots to be completed, I was gonna go off if I took him somewhere and they made us pay another arm and leg just to sign off our form.

I spoke entirely with one of the office assistants named Denise- ask for her. They only charge $35 but the even better part was that I told her that I would be traveling from a far distance and that I was having trouble with the CS in our area. She thought it was total BS that I have to travel and take time off work. She agreed to do it all via fax. I mailed the money order and faxed the vaccination records. She is going to send the results in the mail. I will let you know when I recieve them. She told me that I could refer anyone to them and they will be happy to assist. She just ask that I tell you all to double check that your fiance/spouse have updated Tetnus and MMR as those are the vaccines that are most often missed. They were awesome to deal with and I haven't found anything better out there.

Hey Sarah I think we went somewhere in Saint Paul... the civil surgeon had the form. Bring the immunization card with and they will give him whatever shots he needs, or just fill out the form if he doesn't need any shots.

Let me know if you want me to look that civil surgeon up - I'm sure I have it at home somewhere. I think we paid around $30 or $40 for the form to be filled out.

We're looking also - the cost of a home in Cali is too much, and salaries are more comparable to what I make here, but cost of living is cheaper in other parts of the country. We're hoping to move by the end of the year/beginning of next year, but of course it's what God says, and not what we want.

Okay I cant find my hotel list for Kingston. My friend is flying in there for the interview with her fiance. Can anyone recommend the closest and safest hotel by the embassy? She is sort of naive so I want to put her somewhere she is safe.

I stayed at the Hilton before and it was nice. It was years ago so I don't know how safe any of the hotels are in Kingston.

Another note of good news. Anthony got a driver's license renewed for a year! We are still waiting for Bio appointment. I'm getting concerned because it looks like most folk have gotten at least a bio appointment and some an interview that filed AOS/EAD around the time we did. I looked up the immigration timeline on the VJ web site. It is interesting. You can track cases by AOS, EAD, K-!, etc. You can get the info by dates filed, CIS office, and other options. Check it out.

Well not much is going on at our place. The dogs are growing up to be such big dogs and getting into mischief but I love having them around. Andre is enjoying work but hasn’t been doing to much as it has been raining and they won’t let you roof in the rain. We are in an Easter play with our church and we had our first performances over the weekend and we have 3 performances this coming weekend. Both Andre and I are getting over horrible colds. I missed a couple days of work so I am working my buns off to get caught back up. Trying not to stress out about this AOS interview. I still need to gather info and get copies but I think I can get it all done in time. Well I will definitely check in more often. Glad to see you all are doing well and I am loving all the good news on the board!

Well I am at work today, I was suppose to work yesterday but I had to take my dog to the vet, and then I took him to my parents house for the rest of the week because he has to have 3 different medications 2 times a day and since my parents dont work it is just easier for them to take care of him since my shifts at work are 12 hours a day and we dont get a lunch break so I cant go home in the day to check on him.

OK Mindy you had to ask...I was not going to share and put my dog business out there but if you really want to know he had an abscessed anal gland (I know gross )...poor little thing at first it was a bump till he kept biting it and licking it and now he has 2 puncture wounds near his rectum. I guess it is my fault cause I didnt know that every now and then I was suppose to have his anal glands excreted (YUCK)...so now he has a sore rump

Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions on names. I honestly have no idea what type names I want. I like Brenden Crhistopher for a boy but it is not set in stone. I like the middle name Ashlynn for a girl but that's not confirmed either.

So true, I will not let it go again...I dont want to have to put medication in his butt again ...I feel so bad for him, he had to wear the cone around his head so he cannot lick and he kept running into things ...so mom and I went to the pet store and got him the little panties that they use for the female dogs during thier time of the month ...so it covers his butt and he cannot lick, it works out much better then the cone on the head

One year from today I see us living on another coast , working, planning for our one year wedding celebration in Jamaica, and possibly in the works of planning to start our family . I want to finish school and continue on for Masters degree, and I know he wants to finish his Bachelors, so we'll see how all this pans out! Writing this out it seems like a lot, but there is nothing too big for God.

We both want to venture out, so we are really excited about the possibility of moving. If things were the way he wanted, I'd probably be preggers by now LOL. I can't wait for our feet to touch Ja'can soil again and to party with our family and friends there to bring in a year (and some extra months) of wedded bliss .

The vet said signs that a dogs anal glands need to be excreted are:
Rubbing butt on floor or carpet
Looking back towards thier behind
Licking behind

She said most groomers will do it, but I dont take my dog to a groomer and I rarely took him to a vet....but she said every few months to bring him to the vet and have a tech. check him to see if they need to be excreted.

Some what the same as yours: Our one year goals include: to have at least half of the money to put down on a new house. We want to put down about 20,000$. To return to JA for our 1st anniversary with all my family, Finish my BSN so that I may apply for a masters program the following year. Hoping that Davids daughter is living with us, Praying for at least 12.00-15.00 and hour job for him so that ....Maybe, maybe, I could take some time off and start thinking about working on having a baby, I pray for a son. that;s about two years away, maybe three I'm already to old. Maybe the baby should come first.

I can't believe last year around this time I was gathering paperwork and asking a million questions to start our K1 process, and now we're together and planning for our future.

I think some dogs have more problems than others. I'm not gonna jinx myself.....if you get my drift....

I take my dogs to the vet twice a year for check-ups. And I was boarding them (at the vet) at least twice a year also....when I would board them they would get baths and their nails done....dobermans look really cute with painted nails The groomer would take care of this for me. It's really, really, really gross. Just make sure when you take them to the vet for their shots that the vet checks for you.
