UPDATE
I am leaving for JA Sunday, Rohan interview is the 13th. Yesterday he did his physical, Poor dear complained over the "ole eap a blood" they took from him.. he called them vampires. today he picks up his Police report. I am concerned about his no impediment cerificate, it was supposed to be ready this week and it is still not ready, I spoke to someone who said they would rush it to pick up today.

I've been working from 2:00pm til 10:30pm for the most part. That's just 8 hours. If I wanted to I could stay til 2:30am which would be 12 hours, but I just don't want to be here I'm just waiting for them to tell me I have to start staying later.

I am sure you know this but make sure you go to a paymaster to pay the $100 visa fee and have the reciept for the interview...you dont pay the fee at the interview....and hey thanks for the list it helps me out!!
I am so worried about the No Impediment of Marriage, when Adrian gets to JA he is only going to have 2 weeks and 1 day before the interview...yes yes I know we are pushing it, but he can only get off the ship in California and he will be there April 23rd so that is when he is going back to JA...but I guess if we go to the interview with out it they will give us a 221g until we get it....I told him to make sure as soon as he gets back to JA that No Impediment is the 1st thing to take care of and to pay for a rush service on that and also rush service on the police cert.

Hi Everyone!

I just got back last week from my visit to JA. This is the first trip that I had taken there that I didn't make it to the beach. Dwain hasn't changed much sense I have seen him last. I got my wedding planned and got the cater. So we are all set in August. I just need to do invitations for the 40 guest. It was fun except for the flight delays there and back. I understand the reason coming back because of the weather and all the tornados last Sunday. But going there they should of made sure the plane was fixed before we got on it and took off. The plane had to turn around to chicago and then they had to fix it nothing like an 8 hour delay.
I know I'm not on much anymore but will be on soon since there are only 33 more school days left this year and then I will have nothing to do.

Theres one thing I wish that my mom would live me alone about the wedding in Jamaica. She wishes I was doing the K-1 visa. But she really doesn't understand his job requirements on backing up an artist. Do your guys parents bother you about similar matters? I am real glad Dwains 1st gig fell through he was suppose to go to Saudi Arabia. But he didn't get his passport back in time. We set the date to 8/8 and I will spend around 18 days there in August. I can't wait since it will be a longer time and then my other friends will be done with teaching also.

Aneways, I was checking for a better calling service to Jamaica and I came across vonage ( well I have know about it for a while. Aneways they said that vonage can be used in Jamaica with unlimited calling to the US for $40 a month, I requested more info so hopefully I will have a response soon, But for all of us who still have our better half in Jamaica doesn't that sound wonderful.

Happy Spring! I hope everyone is doing well. Congratulations to all who have made advances in their cases and reached a milestone of any sort.

I stopped by to say hello and post some good news.
My mom is doing much better and hanging in there. There are no new meds so they put her back on the old meds...but even without the meds the attacks have been few and far in between - so we praise God for healing and respite. I was sick too and I am doing so much better now.

My dear Henry is JA as we speak!!! I am so jealous!!! He got a job!!!!!! And he starts in first week of May so he went to JA for a week to see his parents since a vacation is unlikely before year end once he starts work. He is psyched about his job even though the haters in his family have mocked him a lot (he is a cleaner at a major teaching hospital) - but the benefits are out of this world...I am seriously giving up mine and going on his plan....they get vision and tuition reimbursement and what not. Despite the mocking, we are very grateful to God as it is a start.

Also, he got his driver's license, so we are hunting for a used Pathfinder or Forester. And we are considering moving to Queens (who on Yardie thread is in Queens???) or Long Island. Not sure yet.

On a dingbat note, the eediot immigration officer in Kingston tore Henry's I-94 out of his passport and tossed it...Henry did not notice until he left Kingston. Needless to say he woke me up this morning in a panic. I have fedexed him the color copies I made and we trust he wont have any drama at JFK.

Hey, who is keeping the baby making list - we have decided that we are going to go for it!!! As of today, I am one day late - but that is nothing. So keep me in your prayers.

I passed finals (by the skin of my teeth) last week, and our wedding here in the states is now postponed. I need to focus more on my studies! We are still waiting to get everything together (including medical info from civil surgeon) to send in packet for AOS

Question: for financial form that needs to be certified, can I send in a photocopy of the original form w/ stamp or should I get two copies certified (one to send in with AOS package and another for our interview date)?

Definitely send the original with the AOS package. Get two copies notarized so you will <basically> have two originals. I really don't think you will need an original for the interview....but it can't hurt.

Thanks for the info. This Friday we're gonna get the forms notarized, go to DMV (I need to get my name changed) and take care of all that other mundane stuff. I am so glad to come in the forum and see that progress is being made (Julie, your 6 month filing to interview date gives me hope that we can go to JA and surprise family during the holidays )

They moved me with no notice - told me on Friday I'm going to 2nd shift on Monday - and they can move me again whenever they feel like it

Jonesie -- I haven't changed my name on the Drivers License either.....think I am going to do that this week. I am really tired of having to drag out a copy of my Marriage Certificate because my License doesn't match the name on my credit card.

Well.....we are now going on Day 3 with no HypeTv. Something is wrong on the Jamaican end. There is a message on the screen that basically says "we know, we know, don't call us to complain." This is the first time we have had any problems. Otherwise, Roy really likes it -- he has it on all the time. Personally, I think it was a really good investment.

We have BetJazz on DirecTv too......I have seen those shows but haven't watched yet....guess I'm gonna have to!!

David and I took a trip down to see my mother and to meet the rest of my family.It went quite well, everyone seem to like him, it helps, not that I care much at all We had our biggest fight ever about his driving, I knew he was mad at me cause it starting yelling at me in patios, It's hard to argue when he's fussing it me in a different lanuage Anyways we made up after we got home

Rhonda: I feel your pain our love making session have turned into slam bam thankyou man, as we pass each other on the way out. Absence will make the heart grow fonder... I send David kinky text messages...it helps On the other hand don't let them push you around. They probably feel as though you won't leave because you have been there so long. With all that experience, you won't have trouble finding something else. I am putting my two weeks notice in tomorrow when I go in at this job I just started, because I cannot take it anymore, working at night that is, Three days turned in to four days, then they they added a weekend.... It was different when I wasn't happy, now I want to be home when my family is home.

and by the way....Our AOS stuff in in the Mail so our wait begins....Thankyou you all for answering my annoying questions. We decided not to to the EAD/AP.with hopes that our green card comes in less than six months.I know that I am being optimistic but we will see. Money is not an issue right now, David keeps himself busy with the GED classes, Scoccer and helping a friend of mine with Landscaping, so I think we are fine for now.

Enjoy the rest of the week. Later, I have a job interview, a meeting and going to look at some cheap ### apts that will save us about $500 a month in preperation to buy a house in two years.
