Hope everyone is having a great weekend

Joanna

good.gif Very nice. You will have a beautiful wedding there.

Good Afternoon All,

It does look nice Joanna good.gif Are they allowing you to bring outside food in? I know the one here by me doesn't. I was looking into that when I was going thru the process b/c of course I want JA'n cuisine.

No I cannot bring in food from outside I have to use thier chef but they said they could accomodate a JA'n cuisine. The lady that I am dealing with at the hotel is very nice and she has already thrown in a few extra things. good.gif

Update on my nephew and niece IL, since Leann was in the hospital, they caught all this early, baby's heartrate was way high last nite, so they ran tests and more tests, found out there was infection so did an emergency c section this mornin.

Everything APPEARS to be ok, she is so perfect, 3 lbs and 7 oz. Around 6:53 or so this mornin, wow a daylite savings baby! hehe Her name is Kelynn and its celtic and my nephew told me it means "warrior princess". He said he thought she needed a fighters name, since this has been such a long haul. Poor Leann was in the hospital on bedrest since February 13th. unsure.gif

Thanks all for all the well wishes, and the prayers during this time, something sure must have helped becuz Leann ALMOST had that baby several times much earlier than now, when we werent so sure things would be ok.

Anyhow, they had given the babe a breathing tube last nite, but this afternoon they took it out, and right now, all she has is oxygen in her nose. Great! She is a REAL nite owl tho, just like me, I guess she kicked up quite a fuss in the hospital at 3 am last nite, and the nurses were saying this afternoon they sure felt sorry for whomever was on duty tonite. laughing.gif I guess she gets hyper..a lil more than she should. It was funny, cuz Leann could never sleep at nite, cuz that babe would go into overdrive and do gymnastics all nite long, in the day she would be peaceful and quiet and not kick much at all. Yep, this one is gonna really keep us busy!

And Joanna, looks like a beautiful place for a wedding!

Oh and they did the brain scan this afternoon, and its A-ok! good.gif

Good morning,
I have a quick question, I just realized that I sent in the I130 but I did the pictures incorrectly. It says to place the photos in a bag-I did yes.gif
place the bag on a piece of paper -I did yes.gif
label the bag " Photo of <spouses name>- I did not do that , what I did was put the names on the respective sheets. Will that be a problem ? helpsmilie.gif helpsmilie.gif helpsmilie.gif .

I am also thinking ahead (hopeful that we don't get a RFE) I am getting teh I129F ready but where I am at a stand still is getting the documents ready to send down to Paul. Could someone please tell me which form to use for the financial part is it the I134 or I184 ( I think I might have the #s wrong)?

One other thing, I was just looking over the pictures from our cermony and I realized that they are very screwed up ( we will have a bigger ceremony preferably at a church once he gets here). Will it be a problem when he goes for his interveiw( hopefully thinking), the pictures are very blurry and looks horrible the person who took the pictures really did not know what they were doing.

Also anyone of you ever had to call a phonecard company and request they send a transcript of the phone calls made from the work/home phone line? I recently began using pincity, so my phone records would only start from 4/1/06.

Thank you. heart.gif heart.gif heart.gif

the interview went well, i was first called to window 5 and a charming young lady took all my documents and gave me my x-ray result and asked me 2 questions: have i ever been to the usa and have i ever been married. Silly me thought that was all, she told me to have a seat and after about 5 minutes a man called me at window 9, and when i went there he drilled me with a lot of questions such as:

1. how i met my fiancee
2. when was the first time we met
3. where di she say when she came to jamiaca
4. which college did she attend
5. what was her major in college
6. where are her parents from
7. how many people lives in her home
8. do i have any saved emails, from when we just started to email ecah other.
9. etc.................

and a about ten other questions. He was really sweating me. But in the end i GOT THE VISA.

Hi another question I have been trying to get all the fees together, I am putting myself ona strict budget and I need to put the fees aside first . This is what I have come up with, am I missing anything ?
You must first file I-130 =$190
Then when you get the notice from that you can send I-129F (K3)=$170
following the k3 I will then have to pay,
1. Medical fee-about $200 US
2. Visa fee/Paymaster-$100 at the before interview
3. A tiny fee to have the passport delivered to your door!!-about $100
4. plane fare to the US - $700 (+/-)
Do you pay anything for the police certificate? Paul only needs one ( Thank God).
He does not need any shots but who to say what the doctors will say.

Sorry if I am going on, I really would like to get this finish with I am about to get really distracted with school and I need to have all teh paperworkout of the way.

DITTO to everyone !!!

Well, we (me and my son) are definitely not going down to JA for spring break, a little bummed......but....I just found out about an hour ago that I got confirmed for a travel agent trip to Montego Bay/Negril for April 24-27th. I'm WAY psyched !! I requested another month for our case and it was granted. They seem to reply back to my emails quickly? So time is ticking....

Who is going to Jamaica ? Where is everyone staying ? and what dates will those that are heading to JA be going ?

I just have to share this, the funny thing is when I was calling the Embassy today I had Adrian on the line on 3way calling....it was funny cause he was getting so mad that it was taking so long getting through, we kept getting a busy signal or we would get through all the prompts and it would say "sorry but this line is busy" we had to have called at least 100 times before we got a real person.
I told him "Yeah see what I have had to go through for you, spending hours trying to call the Embassy" laughing.gif
he was really fed up, by the time we got the interview date he didnt seem excieted, i asked "whats wrong" he said "it took that long just for some one to answer the line and 2 minutes to tell us the date" laughing.gif

Oh and some other good news, I was just on line looking for flights and my mom and dad just called to tell me that i can use thier travel miles to get my ticket to JA good.gif kicking.gif ...that is about $250 we will save right there not having to pay for my plane ticket.

Anyway sorry for rambling on and on.. whistling.gif

I remember those days tongue.gif That's the best part of finally getting approved - you no longer have to deal with the Jamaican Embassy yes.gif I don't understand why normal, simple things are SO difficult for them to handle. How hard is it to pick up the phone, look up the name, and tell you the interview date?!!! Only in Jamaica.

the interview went well, i was first called to window 5 and a charming young lady took all my documents and gave me my x-ray result and asked me 2 questions: have i ever been to the usa and have i ever been married. Silly me thought that was all, she told me to have a seat and after about 5 minutes a man called me at window 9, and when i went there he drilled me with a lot of questions such as:

1. how i met my fiancee
2. when was the first time we met
3. where di she say when she came to jamiaca
4. which college did she attend
5. what was her major in college
6. where are her parents from
7. how many people lives in her home
8. do i have any saved emails, from when we just started to email ecah other.
9. etc.................

and a about ten other questions. He was really sweating me. But in the end i GOT THE VISA.

Congratulations on the Visa!

David misses his Daughter, I guess we will have to start all over and file a different type of visa

Dee -- What exactly are your options? Do you know?

Good morning all. It's so exciting reading all this news. I can't keep up.

I wanted to tell you all that we finally got through to the embassy and got Henry's daughter her tourist visa finally. All of my lobbying finally worked...mom just walked in and asked for the lady and the woman came back with the visa fixed into the passport...no questions asked.

We are so excited! She may even come this August!

Not sure the Embassy replied to my email this moring saying that Tonika(gaurdian) should go to the info window mon to fri between 7:15 to 10Am, to pick up information on DNA testing. Why couldn't they just include the infromation in the email? There is no way that The mother will be able to all the way to the Embassy to pick up information sad.gif I'm sure that this DNA test will cost well over 1000$ by the way sad.gif It will be well worth it if results come to find that she is turely his. It dosen't matter to David, in his heart she is his, but if not it is going to be heartbreaking to his daughter, knowing that her mother has lied to her all these years, and that she had a chance at better oppertunites, that her mother blew it all when she cheated on her father sad.gif Our dealings with the embassy are far from being over mad.gif
