simone...

we thought the same thing when we responded to that question...it's crazy.

looking back at the paper work from kingston, there is a letter that address the fiance and it also lists a k2 traveller...

so bizarre.

i don't think you ruined your chances because any of these approvals are only valid for 1 year, at least for the k1/k2 so if you at least wait one year than it should be all good.

jamie...good luck! he will feel so good when he gets the license...it's makes such a difference in their moral.

We just bought a mini van!!! 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager...it's got high mileage but in perfect condition. The inn i work at was getting rid of it as they are down sizing how many company vehicles we have. I got it for $500! We are so excited. We have a car and a van...now we just need kids!! Just kidding...we are no where near that. It's so exciting to grow with each other....small steps are so rewarding.

Good evening everyone,

Well mom and I just got back from looking at places to hold the wedding and now I am torn between 2 places, I guess I just have to start figuring out prices and what each place has to offer since I like both of them. One is a Wyndham Resort which is very nice and the ceremony and reception will be nice and elagant, and the other is a Doubletree Castle hotel that has a whimsical castle feel, it is neat and will have a unique flare to it. So I am very confused right.

Anyway hope everone had a great day!

There is a Wyndham Resort in Jamaica and it is very nice. Maybe you can get a trip there if you have your wedding there. I'm sure you'll know what is right for you so don't sweat it. Relax!

Yeah the Wyndham does offer a free honeymoon if you have your wedding there but you have to spend at least $12,000 in food and beverages, I dont think we will even come close to that no0pb.gif
Both hotels have thier pros and cons, but it will probally come down to who ever offers is the best price!!

Smart thinking! It takes a lot of money to go through this immigration process. Save some money and energy for that day!

Any one else have to send the AOS and EAD to different addresses?

Ours went to Chicago but I don't know how the biometrics and interview will be done. The NOAs for AOS and EAD came from Lees Summit, MO.

Thanks ChristineJames.

My husband asked me today what to bring with him to Atlanta.

What did you guys tell your SO to bring? Should he pack ALL his things (even the stuff that I'll hide somewhere deep in my garage)?

Congratulations Simone! Are you meeting him in Atlanta? That is a fun town.

Joanna -- That's a tough decision. If you like them both the same let them "duke" it out for the better price. Have you decided what you are doing about the cake?

Well mom and I have been talking and I suggested a to get the cake from Publix (a nice grocery store not sure if they are all over the US or not) and she said "no way are you getting a grocery store wedding cake" but yesterday at the Doublertree the lady told us that she got her cake from Publix and how good it was, so I think i have now convinced mom to get it at Publix, hey at Publix it is $159.00 the other places we were looking at were $300 tongue_ss.gif ..Publix has very good cakes, so I will have a small 3 tierd (sp?) cake and then have a Jamaican bakery make a Jamaican black fruit cake for the grooms cake.
Although, I just got a quote back from the Doublertree for 50 people and it is a little more then we want to spend, my parents have given me a budget of $8,000 for the whole thing, but it is $6,600 for just the ceremony and reception at the Doubletree that is not counting photographer, DJ, wedding dress alteration, cake, flowers and what ever else. I just told mom and she really really likes the Doubletree I told her we could look somewhere cheaper and she said they could probally go up to $10,000 kicking.gif ...so I have a feeling it will be at the Doubletree, since my mom really likes it and well hey she is paying for it tongue.gif

Sorry to keep going on and on about all the wedding plans, I am just so excieted to be able to plan my wedding, I have waited 31 years for this smile.gif .. next week when we find out his interview date mom wants to put a deposit down for July 9th, but both places i am looking at say that if something happens we can change to anohter date as long as they have the space avaliable. So i am going to take a chance.

So much for that perfect score that he was going on and on about whistling.gif laughing.gif Honestly I am so happy that he can now be independant and out on his own but I am sooooo worried about him getting in an accident or even getting a ticket. when the I130 was sent out, was it sent priority mail or expedited service?
Would either of you suggest that I send ithe petition either way and also register it?
Also about writing a cover letter fo rthe I130, do I really need one I have prepared it bu tI do not see where it is mentioned for the I130 only the I129F.
Also on the G325A for myself where it mentions the employments, I included a letter specifying each occupation-is this recommended or shoulf I just leave it alone, and stop feeding them more information than requested?
I could really use your knowledge on this. innocent.gif

Thanks Rhonda, and yes I do have to say my parents are very good to me, I am lucky I know alot of people dont have family support. Yeah the hotel has the whole castle look to it, very whimsical, as I said before i wanted a unique wedding with lots of color, altough going with this hotel I have to change my colors, they were going to be black and pink but now it will be black and deep purple to match the purple room where the reception will be....Ok that sounds crazy that I want to match a room laughing.gif but I just want everything to look neat.

Hey all,

Update on my nephew and niece IL, since Leann was in the hospital, they caught all this early, baby's heartrate was way high last nite, so they ran tests and more tests, found out there was infection so did an emergency c section this mornin.

Everything APPEARS to be ok, she is so perfect, 3 lbs and 7 oz. Around 6:53 or so this mornin, wow a daylite savings baby! hehe Her name is Kelynn and its celtic and my nephew told me it means "warrior princess". He said he thought she needed a fighters name, since this has been such a long haul. Poor Leann was in the hospital on bedrest since February 13th. unsure.gif

Joanna that's a lovely place to have a wedding.

No, not forever biggrin.gif It was just time to leave, he so hard on him self.

Do you all think the air here is heavier than in JA, David is in pretty good shape, but we find that he becomes SOB easily when playing soccor? He didn't have this problem in JA. unsure.gif

Good Afternoon All,

It does look nice Joanna good.gif Are they allowing you to bring outside food in? I know the one here by me doesn't. I was looking into that when I was going thru the process b/c of course I want JA'n cuisine.
thndrdancr
Dee, I know what you mean by the short of breath. Lake doesnt seem to notice it, but I do, when I return after vacationing in the Caribbean, I come home and it feels to me like the air just descends on me. sad.gif Not sure why that is, but I definitely feel it.

And...also, Lake is like that as well, as far as not taking breaks. They GIVE them, or at least, when anyone else needs one, they get up and take a five, but he will just sit there and keep on studying or what ever. It drives me nuts, your attention span cant last at that pace without a breather. The other day, when he got out of class, he told me he was a bit dizzy. The crazy guy wont go out for fresh air or anything. ARGGHHH!
