With Susie's interview less than a month away, we're already looking at reserving tickets. I realize I'm gambling by getting the ticket, but I really have no other choice. I can move the date for a fee, so I'm not totally stuck. Anyway, if we wait closer to the date, I'm sure the prices will climb due to Christmas travel.
At any rate, with the current ticket we have reserved, Susie's point of entry would be Houston. Does anyone have any experiences with them? I saw on the POE reviews that they had the highest harassment level...what kind of things can they do and what power do they yield? Can they turn away people with approved travel visas?

Nessa of CharlesandNessa recently came through and had a positive experience she posted here. For a major airport it is relatively easy to get through. She should be fine.

From what I remember from a year and a half ago, they asked more questions at the POE at IAH than they did in the embassy interview in Bucharest. Kind of a long wait too. By the time he came out I was sitting on the floor by the rail as I had been standing there for a total of 5 or 6 hrs. (was 2 hrs early, plane was delayed 1 hr 2-3 hrs for POE stuff.)
Hopefully your POE experience will be less painful, but hey there's a Starbucks right there and they give out free samples of hot chocolate
