My K-1 petition was approved by Vermont in 30 days in Oct/Nov 2001.

But at that time VSC took over a year for I-130s and over 18 months for I-751s...

DAHAMN!!! That's right! I remember my officemate mentioning that I-130s took over a year. Wow, over 18 months for the I-751s. That's unbelievably long! That would drive me crazy!!!
Truthfully, when I started, stateside I-130s regularly took 2+ years for approval. That's why the K-3 was 'invented' to bridge the gap.
