I am pretty much done with my papers here in USA and soon it will be up to my wife in the Philippines to complete her biometrics and interview.

We are adopting a child in Manila as well and I have just sent the filled out864 and all fees have been paid, Can anyone give me an estimate of time left till we will have our interview?
We are also adopting a child in Manila and i am told I need to attend one adoption hearing per the court and I cannont afford two trips, I want to also attend the visa interview and fly home with my wife.

So if anyone can give me a rough guess how long it takes from 864 to interview in manila I would really appreciate it. I cannot get even a rough guess for interview date from Dept of State or USCIS

the NVC will send your petition over to the embassy in manila where, they will be the ones to schedule interview, from the time we submitted 864 it took us 9 months
but you time could lesss than that , who really knows for sure , I pray for less time. mike ball helpsmilie.gif

I believe the reason nobody will give you even a "rough estimate" is because you are treally too far out to tell. There are too many factores which could enhance or delay the process yet to come. However good luck to you!

we're in the same time frame and my wife have been looking at a group of members who have similar timelines as we do. here's our guestimate

- 3-4 weeks to approve DS-230
- 1-2 weeks to forward to manila embassy
- 1-2 weeks to receive packet 3
- 2-4 weeks to receive packet for with interview date of 4-8 weeks after

so we're hoping february would be the interview month. this is assuming everything is complete. so i'm hoping to hear a case complete by end of november and fly out to manila 1st week of december where i believe we will be getting packet 3. towards the end of december beginning january would be packet 4 with the interview date of february. i will then fly back for the interview. save those mabuhay miles wink.gif i became elite in under a year

things to consider:
- DS-230 is incomplete and will get RFE
- holiday season may delay mail
- holidays (Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, maybe Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve?, New Year's Eve?, New Years Day, and in Philippines Rizal Day - embassy might be closed)
- JunCel, another member, has been waiting for 2 months and still no interview date - he is petitioning his wife and kid. not sure if timeline is different if there is a child(ren) involved

i've been messaging other members with similar timelines and we give each other heads up when new developments arrive. it seems that they do things in batches as well.
