By "attach" in Jame's shortcuts.... does that mean staple or just paperclip the Cover Sheet to the DS-230 1&2?
And if its ok to staple, can I staple all three things(coversheet 230-1 & 230-2) together? Then I can paperclip all the other things together into one bundle.
Thought I would ask since stapling was a big "no no" at CSC.
Thanks once again for all the great help here at VJ!!

I've used Acco clips (two holes at the top of the docs) for everything the entire way thru so all documents and forms can be stacked neatly in the file.
Just recd the AOS package yesterday, several days after I sent it to NVC using the shortcuts. The tax info aurthorization sheet is almost an exact match to the shortcut sheet. The "shortcut" bar code sheet and the real NVC sheet is slightly different, it does not overlay exactly, and the bar code is slightly shorter (height) and about a 1/2" shorter in length. The shortcut bar code sheet does not have the four stars in the upper right corner. It's a real close approximation though. Also noticed that the big return envelope had a different zip code on it than what is stated on the bar code sheet mailing address. The envelope has 03801-2901 instead of 03801-2909. It also has APPT in big letters stamped in the lower left corner. FYI.

Just place eveything in the order that's suggested.

I never put a cover sheet on any of the packages I sent the USCIS or the NVC...or used anything to bind them together!! My interview is next month!!! The only thing we absolutely was put everything in the order they asked...that's it!

I just sent the DS230 package last Thursday. This is the order I used:
Cover letter with index of docs submitted
Bar code sheet
DS 230 Part 1 (signed) and Part 2 (not signed)
NBI (top half only, be sure has thumbprint and dry seal, my asawa keep the personal copy bottom half)
Color photocopy of passport biographic info page
Police Clearance (I did include this since I had it, many say that if your asawa has not lived outside Phils it is not needed)
Original NSO birth certificate
Original NSO marriage contract
EVERY sheet has case number written on upper right corner.
Then tacked together with Acco clips.
Hope this helps.

Dear members who have used shortcuts and seen the actual stuff send from NVC..........pse enlighten us.........
hello dear "Michael and Milahjean".......read your observation about the I-864 forms.........
thought to get further details about that.........
[1] pse tell us whether the cover letter as well as the authorization sheet we make by using the shortcuts is good enough......or wld you suggest to wait to recieve it from NVC ????
[2] also the "authorization sheet for release of Federal Tax Data" when i opens it in my system its 155% and other other shortcuts opens normally........so what shld i do........get the document reduced to 100% and get the print.......or have to get the prints in 155% ????????
[3] about this difference in zip codes .......is the change in zip code is only in the outer envelope or its the cover letters also????????
[4] their is four stars in the "Authorization for Release of Federal Tax Data" short cut form..... so are you saying that this star is in the cover letter also?????????
sorry to ask to so many questions.........but gaining knowledge from the experienced helpful VJ members is the main objection of this site .......so just shooting this Q's expecting the answers.........
thaaaaaanx in anticipation
