I spoke with a customer service rep at NVC and was told that when our case arrives at the Kingston Embassy, I should contact the embassy and make sure that packet 4 is mailed to my husband.

I have done quite a lot of research and found out that, because I am the agent the Embassy in Kingston might send his medical appointment and interview letter to me, which would make no sense since I am the petitioner.

Have any of you experience this, and what did you do to make sure that your SO kept his/her appointments. Your response will be kindly appreciated. unsure.gif

Thanks!

Susanwill,

To make sure that the visa applicant didn't miss appointments I didn't establish the USC as the agent.

But since you did, and you are the agent, if you don't think you can get the necessary information to your client in a timely fashion you should contact the consular section and give them your instruction as was suggested.

The usual reason for setting up the USC partner as the agent is because the mail system in the visa applicant's country is so poor that they risk not receiving mail from the consulate. If this is not the case in Jamaica why did your husband establish you as his agent?

My husband, the USC, is my agent and I received my packet 4 in Brazil. As long as they have the correct address for the beneficiary, he will be the one to receive the packet 4.

As you said, it makes no sense for the petitioner to get it. So no need to worry!
