What is inaccurate about the spelling??

Some of the Russian names in Cyrillic can be spelled different ways in the Western alphabet, and the official Russian version of her first name may not match how she prefers it spelled...

Ditto!

Don't delay your case for a spelling error. Get your K-1 now, then get the spelling changed to whatever she wants later. As long as her international and internal passports match up..... you should be good.

You should make sure your applications are using the same English translation of her name as her international passport. The USCIS has been picky about this in the past so don't chance it. My fiancee, now wife, needed to get a new passport as hers was about to expire. Since her original one was based upon Russian, her name was spelled one way. The new passport was based upon Ukrainian and the English translation changed both her first and last names. We changed the applications to match her new passport.
