Was the test given in Vietnamese Language or English?

Just curious, my wife took the nails test (as a weekend job) but she failed because it was given in English (many special terms to remember) next she'll retake it in Vietnamese. It should be a little easier.

Those beauty salons are funny....it's just like being back in Nam with gossip and lots of "Troi Oi"'s smile.gif

It was given in English only. I know what you mean about the salons. Today we submitted applications in 5 salons- 3 were owned by Vietnamese even though they are American Franchises (Fantastic Sams, Supercuts) and in most it is nothing but Vietnamese working. Then they all have the nail place next door and I don't have to tell you what that is like!

Anyway- the job hunting is going pretty good. As I said, she submitted 5 applications and before we got home 2 of the places had called her on her cell to set up an interview. At JC Penny she submitted an online application in the mall, and before we exited the mall the manager called her cell and set an interview up for this evening. She's pretty happy good.gif

Does this mean you get a discount on JC Penny purchases just in time for the Christmas Holidays? (No, I'm not politically correct)

Yes dalegg,

I know the feeling, my wife has done exceptionally well in America working for the US Gov't, County School system at night and beauty shop on weekends. I'm very very lucky smile.gif

Keep it up!

Separately, the new Virginia Senator has a Vietnamese wife too.

I wonder if he had to call the former Senator to help speed his visa process too.

Question for you. My fiance has been working as a trainer in hair and skin care plus massage in Thailand for the last 8 years. Unfortunately she is not "licensed" in Thailand. Where did you wife go to school. I live in Irvine so we aren't far apart. My stylist in Irvine is a master stylist and came her from Vietnam too. My fiance does have her bachelors degree in Business. Thanks and the pictures looked great. Ken

Just so you know, it's JCPenney.

And I am so glad I don't work there anymore. biggrin.gif

But congrats to your wife!
