When you get your green card or after you apply for and receive advance parole (AP). The AP application form is I-131. You can't apply for AP until you apply for AOS. You can submit it with the AOS application or after. It usually takes about 60 - 90 days to get the AP.

Now that you are married, you will have to apply for AOS (Adjustment of Status) using Form I-485. If you want to work before your AOS is approved, you can apply for EAD (Employment Authorization) using Form I-765. If you want to travel outside the U.S., you need to either have your AOS approved (and have your Green Card) or apply for AP (Advance Parole) using Form I-131.

AP usually takes about 7 weeks to approve (maybe a little longer).

Good luck.
