Would the embassy keep all the original evidences submitted to them (letters,cards,pictures,etc..)

Everything like cards, letters, emails and pictures are taken to the embassy at time of interview. And they are briefly looked at in most cases and then returned to the person at the interview. In a few cases the interviewer has asked to keep a picture for their records. I am not aware of them keeping any other evidence.

In my personal experience, a handful of pix, letters etc was retained during the interview, but it was all sent back with the visa....this was through the manila embassy
