The NVC automated voice response system tells me today.." a packet of information and documents was generated on Oct 30 and will be sent within the next few weeks...if the agent has not received in 6 weeks bal bla bla..."

The IV fee bill was generated Oct 9, was received on Oct 19 and payment was sent Oct 20. Can I assume this is the DS230 packet?

Thanks for the help.

Thought so...thanks...will be using the shortcut sending the DS230 and documents later this week. We've been spoiled by USCIS and NVC with quick CR-1 processing. Might have case complete by Thanksgiving, we hope, about 5 months from submission. Preparing to wait for many additional months at Manila now...will have to smile through it, I guess.

Hey w1n78, or anyone else doing CR-1 at Manila,

I have a question about the DS230 documentation just to be sure. I've checked the NVC document requirements listed in the Philippines section (and other countries) and also the US Embassy Manila website. The Manila embassy lists additional materials not listed in the NVC list. I'm planning to include with the DS230 Part 1 and 2: the barcode page from shortcuts, a copy of passport bio page, birth cert, marriage cert, NBI and the two passport photos. That is all I need to include, correct?

Just checking...just when you get to thinking you've covered all bases, when it's time to mail off very important items one gets the jitters... Planning to mail the DS230 on Thursday.

Thanks all.

oh BTW, our DS230 was also generated yesterday. it's odd that different operators get different info. wifey called and the 1st operator says that it hasn't been generated and it should be generated this week. right after she hung up she called again, this time the operator said it was generated yesterday and will be mailed by Friday. this also happened while we were waiting for our I-864 to be generated.

i'm gathering all the documents for the DS230 now and will be mailing it tomorrow

Thanks win78...I'm not going to send the photos since I saw posted somewhere that they are not needed by NVC, but will be needed at the Embassy during interview. I will also include the Police Clearance I have for her, even though some say it is not needed bcoz she has not lived outside the country. I just want to be sure I send everything that is needed.
w1n78
i'll be sending it off to NVC once the post office opens. also, JunCel has added that you should put your case number on the top, right corner of every page.

getting closer. hope it's complete and finished before december so i can fly out there. this whole process and waiting is driving me wacko.gif
