In Brazil, How long does it take to receive the certificates back from the police after you take them there?

It really depends on the state. It usually takes 15 days from the time you request them.
They told me to come back and pick it up in 15 days, but my dad went back there one week after I had requested them and they were already done, just waiting for me.

When I applied for the Federal Police Certificate they told me to come back after 15 working days, but it was probably available sooner. Once it's ready you have to get the signature on it notarized.
The State Police Certificate took about 10 days. No need to be notarized.

Here are some of the forms she'll need:
Federal Police Website
http://www.dpf.gov.br/web/formulario/Form_crim_online.htmRJ Police Certificate form
http://www.embaixadaamericana.org.br/fiance/CertVidPriv.pdfYour fiancée needs to bring a copy of her ID card for each Police Certificate request.

Thanks for all your help everyone..
My fiancee already received packet 3, and she cant get a day off to go get the police certificates til the 10th.. Once she requests them, is it safe to send in packet 3 forms then? or does she need to wait til she obtains them? I know ds 2001 says that you attest that you have all documents. I wish she could get it sooner but its hard for her to get a day off to do it.

As long as she has them before the interview, it doesn't really matter, because that is the only time the Police Certificates come into play.
My fiance's Federal Certificate took 1 day, while her State took about 3 weeks.

Would the police certificate be the same one sent I with the I 129F packet or do they want a current one? I did e-mail the US embassy in Honduras with this question but they really did not answer the question. It seems that the requirements varies from one country to another or are embassy's website a bit off on the information? She has not received the Packet 3 yet but the embassy ask for case number and then sent the files for me to download and notified me that we could schedule the interview in January? Anybody have this happen? Do I follow exactly what the instruction from the US embassy of Honduras has sent me?

My police certificate took 7 days (federal), 7 days (Santa Catarina) and around 2 weeks (Paraná).

Maybe it's different in Honduras, but we don't send police certificate with I129f, it is just necessary for the interview day.
