What's the difference between NVC and consulate background check?
IF we are clear at NVC should not be the process quick at the consulate?
We are getting impatient to wait...wait...wait

There are numerous security checks at each stage of your processing. And when your case goes to the embassy it is first sent via an electronic form and the hard copy is forwarded DHL or other carrier. Once the hard copy reaches the embassy it and the electronic copy are matched. At this stage it shows at the embassy and they will then continue your case processing. But you can have AR/AP at the embassy level too after your interview if you have name hit or need fingerprints checked. Good luck.

A lot of times NVC starts background checks and forwards the case on to the consulate, and the consulate waits for NVC to finish their checks or even starts the consulate name checks then waits for the results of all checks to finish before an interview. Sometimes the consulate conducts a visa interview and then holds the visa until the name checks are finished.
