holly cow! 8 days notice (like 3 by the time the letter arrives) is a little scary. I'll have to call tommarow and check on ours, our packets arrived around the same time.

As per moi, they told me today I am on list for june/july... let's see if they come through!!!!

This is slightly making me nervous... people are receiving notice onlydays before the interview... It's like, if you dont call and check in, you'd never know your date! (except for the night before)

I remember seeing on here an updated version of our timelines, not the one that's on here from Riblet, but the one we had to click on to get to. Someone had redid them and I can't get the search to work.
Does anyone remember what thread it was in?
or even know what I'm talking about?

I did those Tinker a few weeks ago............the more I sorted through them the more I realized they weren't as accurate as they could be overall. Based on what I sorted out and the fact several people dont have timelines filled in completely , many were left out of the order.......so it wasn't accurately depicting the order of interviews. At least I didnt think so after looking closer.
at any rate , this was it

Here's the reply to an email I sent Montreal yesterday inquiring about an interview date.
I had stated in my inquiry I saw where people with similar timelines to me were getting interview dates and I was wondering whether I would been scheduled for an appointment soon also
"Unfortunately your appointment still has't been booked. There are many factors when booking an appointment and each case is different.
From the time the file is received and the packet sent. We will advise you by mail once your the appointment is scheduled"
Thank you

Oh i started to the other night.......my puter opted to get stupid on me and then I couldnt figure a way to sort all the timelines to accurately show order........some have "rcvd packet 3" some dont , some have "consulate rcvd" some dont.....then others have no timeline at all. Sooooo I got frustrated and said ta hell with it. I may get a funky bug in my bum and try it again before too long......but in the meantime........DO THOSE FRIGGIN TIMELINES PEOPLE

Whoa, they let you know only 8 days before? I'm confused! If Jon hadn't called, would you have known your interview date? I mean, it's great news and congrats... but, did they just decide to fill your case in when someone else cancelled or something? Does it have to do with your involvement with your congress person?
From what Jon said, he stayed on despite the "stay on only in emergency situations" and stated directly to the lady who answered that he had an interview for employment on Thursday and needed definitive information for that purpose. She checked the computer and said May 9, 8:30. I have a feeling that it may have been a cancellation and he got lucky (or the Congressional inquiry helped), but either way it is absolutely short notice. It also shows the flaws of the system. We asked about a cancellation list ages ago -- they said that people who are next in line get cancellations (via phone call) -- so if this IS a cancellation, were we next in line or are they just sick of us for calling our Congresswoman?
When I emailed my Congresswoman's Rep, she said that often the inquiry is what they need to get them moving, but then, why the negative reply to her office?
I just don't know.
I also feel very blessed that our interview is scheduled, but I feel horrible that so many December/January and beyond folks haven't heard a thing. I asked my Congresional Rep to keep inquiring about Montreal; I think we all should do that.
Thanks for the well-wishes!

I contacted my Congresswoman back in March and asked that her office look into the backlog in Montreal. I didn't request she check on our case specifically........I got no response from her. Needless to say I wont be joining her next campaign... and I will consider her the greater of 2 evils when I cast my vote. Yeah I know big deal eh!!

HEY EVERYONE
i need to apologize for not being on here sooner. My interview was scheduled for march 29, but i had to cancel it because my daughters case was so far behind. I didnt want to have to make 2 trips to montreal, for interviews, i wanted them both on the same day, to save us money lol. So we now have new interview date for May 23 at 9:30am.
I am so stressed out about everything that i have been avoiding coming on here because it makes me nervous to read about interviews, denials and problems that people have. My nerves are so bad from going thru this all, i'm sure u know what i mean lol.
I have been trying my best not to think about it, but i'm still terrified. good luck to all!
