Did the consulate mark you down as having sent in your packet 3 at an earlier date?
As you can see from the following I was entered in the system on March 19, but a subsequent call a few weeks later to the Consulate and a conversation with evil one a.k.a the ###### of Montreal who accused me of trying to get on the list without having everything got me knocked off and told to call when I had it all together. So to answer you yes I was on the list for a short while and will be back on it as of tomorrow.

I know how you feel. For whatever reason, I feel like a total control freak over this whole process so I don't think I can let my fiance go the interview himself lol. I have to be there just incase or else that interview day, I'll go absolutely nuts.

I figured it out. 18 days from the time the packet 3 was sent till today.
PHEW.......I'm ready, but NOT that ready
what does the 18 days mean??????? Everyone else is 47 or more.
18 is how many days its been since you sent in packet 3......as of Friday

All I sent in was the DS-156 and the DS-230 part 1, I didn't send the checklist and had no intention of doing so until I received the RCMP certificate since I didn't want a date before having everything in hand except the medical. They assumed that by sending the forms in I had everything, and I am sure that if I had spoken with someone other than the biatch of Montreal they would have left everything as it was. At this point in the journey it really doesn't matter where I am on the lit as long as I am on it.

It is official we are now officially on the waiting list , just need the date and the medical. All that is left now is to see what the timeline is and hope that this lousey weather had everyone working late so they can put out more dates,.

Packet 3 sent on December 8, case status = Completed as per Montreal, entered to their system, waiting for an appoitment to be scheduled.
Called today to MTL to find out if appoitment was scheduled.
As of today not scheduled yet, estimated time to be is June, July - got an answer over the phone,
she ( lady on the phone) mentioned that it takes 4- 6 month now as they have long list of applicants, previosly, when called on January 28 was told that it may take 4- 12 weeks from January
As it passed (12 weeks), I thought I may have date in the system... not yet

Thanks for the info ... mine was received and processed by Montreal February 7, 2007 and they told m yesterday June or July interview.
Has anyone else next on the list called Montreal to see if their interview has been booked???

Since I'm officially an April filer now I'm not calling or writting for a while yet. I hope everyone gets their date soon and I hope many new numbers become available soon also.

Well, what frustrates me is the inconsistency of the information. I called on a whim last Friday, got right through, and the lady said that while our interview isn't scheduled yet, late May or June was likely. Our file entered the system on January 17th, so why would I hear May/June and you hear June/July? Is there any rhyme or reason to their system?
Just called MTL as well... and got an answer of "Could be May or June"... usefull

Jonathon called a few moments ago and Montreal picked up right away and got the following:
We are on the waiting list.
Our interview should be within the 6-8 week timeframe.
We are working on scheduling appointments for your timeframe.
I hope so ....
i'll be nice if they can get interview dates back to within the 2- 4 month timeframe

Since there was no reply I resent it this morning. They just sent back a reply

Dan talked to the Consulate on Tuesday. They said our file was complete and was in a group that they were working on making appointments for. She said May/June. *sigh* It's been over a year now since we started this journey. I can't wait for it to end. They have had our packet 3 since November. Appears we are the last one in November to get an appointment. I'll definitely get pissed if people who sent theirs in after us get appointments before we do. This is getting to be totally ridiculous.

That was the same thing that they told both Jon and me on the phone and that's weird since you sent yours in November and our system date in January 17th.

That really doesn't make sense ... just lets say that they received your package 3 checklist and processed it in January .. that means that they are now quoting 7 months from receipt???
They booked CNDGRL 4 1/2 months from receipt date .. which is easier to deal with ..

In reply to my email inquiry last week , they told me June, July for an interview date
Cdngrl was told that she was on the list for March ... and didn't get an interview until May ... this is so frustrating!

Posted this to let know to others how things are going as myself was looking others timeframes.
Montreal received our packet 3 on Dec 11th. Sharon received notice of receipt for that date. I'm HOPEful based upon what some of you have posted reguarding interview dates that maybe whomever emailed us was nuts or in a really bad mood, but if they were, then they are gonna have to deal with us.
I've emailed Montreal back, asking for an actual explanation as to WHY they've added an additional 4 months to our originally anticipated interview date. There should be NO good reason for adding 4 more months based on the "First Come, First Served" process they use.
I've also contacted both of my Senators and my congressman now, so I'm hoping that Montreal will be forced to explain what in the hell they actually DO there to someone. (btw, one of my Senators sits on the committee that oversees the Department of State, so I'm hoping a well-placed call or email from her will loosen up Montreal's tight ### cheeks a little.)
I'm thinking that if everyone that has been told they will be waiting for 4 to 6 to 8 months more for an interview date did the same, maybe someone would begin to wonder what the folks in the Montreal Consulate are getting paid for.
Just glad I have THIS place to vent a little, otherwise I'd be looking for a short-term position with the postal service.
Hope the interview dates keep pouring in..........

I've emailed Montreal back, asking for an actual explanation as to WHY they've added an additional 4 months to our originally anticipated interview date. There should be NO good reason for adding 4 more months based on the "First Come, First Served" process they use.
I've also contacted both of my Senators and my congressman now, so I'm hoping that Montreal will be forced to explain what in the hell they actually DO there to someone. (btw, one of my Senators sits on the committee that oversees the Department of State, so I'm hoping a well-placed call or email from her will loosen up Montreal's tight ### cheeks a little.)
I'm thinking that if everyone that has been told they will be waiting for 4 to 6 to 8 months more for an interview date did the same, maybe someone would begin to wonder what the folks in the Montreal Consulate are getting paid for.
Just glad I have THIS place to vent a little, otherwise I'd be looking for a short-term position with the postal service.
