I know!! I keep coming here hoping to see the good news. Come on, Montreal!!!!!!!

My husband came to Michigan for a visit 10 days ago and was supposed to return home last Wednesday but sadly his sister passed away on the 5th in Barrie so we were there all last week. He will be back at his place on Wednesday night and Im hoping there will be something in his mailbox stating good news.
Watching his poor shell of a human being sister pass, really put some perspective into our minds. I thought I was stressed having had this experience but those thoughts immediately went away while holding her hand as she passed away , fighting with all her being.
If we have an answer, then great, but if we don't I know we will in time. At least we have the truly important things in life..........our health and our love and that of those around us.

Okay- I applied for a K1 and here's my timeline for MTL:

March 30, 2006 - I-129F Received at Nebraska Service Centre
June 1, 2006 - NOA- Transferred to California Service Centre (not sure why!!)
June 14, 2006 - Received in California
June 23, 2006- RFE notice sent out
July 25, 2006- Response to RFE received by California
September 5, 2006- NOA- Case was approved and sent to Montreal
* Not sure when Montreal Received the case*
Late October- Packet 3 received
November 22, 2006- packet 3 sent to Montreal

***March 21, 2006*** Interview date

* Something to note- I e-mailed MTL in early March asking when my interview would be, and they said it would be another 4 - 16 weeks before it would be assigned. I called the congress representative for my USC Fiance's region, and she made a calll. Voila, interview letter was received less than a week later.

Montreal seems to have some issues at the moment.

I called this morning to see if Michael's interview had been set yet (since I heard that interviews were scheduled on the 15th) and she said it's too soon, they are being scheduled right now! So the 15th is definitely when it's done... she said to call back next week, but I'm definitely going to call back tomorrow evening Our Mao - hope you hear something soon too!

Please put me back on the list for waiting for interview. I have been cleared by the Adam Walsh crap and just waiting again for my interview. I called Montreal today and they told me I will have one by May so here is to more waiting.....

It's really late, so I might be wrong here, but it seems that people applying for a K1 gets a faster interview date than other types of visa? I see this info from the list on this post. Is it just coincidence and I'm totally off? Or is there some truth to that?

K1 appears to be the fastest way, compared to K3, cr-1.

sorry for late response - the visa approved on 02/28.

I got my visa in the mail on March 27th!

Ok, so that time (along with so many of the estimated dates) has come and gone! Come on Montreal!

For info's sake ... I called Montreal yesterday and this is what they told me.
I know that they physically received my Package 3 back 01/31/07 ... they did not process it until 02/07/07.

She told me that we we on a list for interviews .. I asked her when I could expect one .. she said 4 to 5 months ... I asked from when? .. she said February .. I asked if I could verify whether it would be June or July and she said no. I asked when I would receive confirmation of my interview .. she said that they like to get it out approximately 4 weeks before the interview.

Just for info's sake ... grrrrrrrr.

Update my info!! Visa granted!

That is so frustrating! Again, if that had been the estimate from the get-go, but it wasn't! I'm right with you timeline-wise, so know that I'm adding prayers and hope to yours.

I have been more or less in constant contact via phone and email with the Consulate. Pretty much everyone's posts reflect the reality of the processing situation there. I was initially informed that our interview date would probably be scheduled for some time in April. After my last email, that may change to later. You can see from our timeline, that the package was sent to Sharon in December, so a May to possible June interview would be withing their 180 day processing time frame. It SUX for all of us, but the reality of it is that they are going to do it when they do it, and we just sit here worrying and wondering. Sharon checks her mailbox every day hoping, and I'm checking the emails once every 3 minutes or so, but it IS going to happen. On the BRIGHT side, it seems as though all of the interviews are resulting in APPROVALS, so hopefully the waiting is worth the end result. Keep the faith.

I called Montreal yesterday. I was told I was entered into thier system on Jan 25.
I asked would it be possible to get atleast some sort of time frame when my interview would be so I could make arrangements for travel

She told me " you are on the interview waiting list and could be scheduled 4 to 5 months from the 25 of Jan. We will notify you by mail for your scheduled appointment"

So the wait continues

What happened to Montreal's 2-4 Months?

When I called several weeks ago I was told 2 to 4 months. Yesterdays version was 4 to 5 months. Maybe they're backed up
