Remember when our bunch went through all the emailing, and calling and were given dates way off, turned out when we called the next week, the appts were booked.... and sooner then they said....soooooooo

Yep, Tinker, that's what I was thinking.....on the list since June, and the last email I got from them said "we told you you were on the 4-6 month waiting list". 6 months is December, so they just threw it out there.....

Liz, I'll betcha we get a letter in the next 2-3 weeks for a November appt.

You guys better, because I want a December one before the holidays!

When do you guys think people will start recieving their interview letters for November? I was sure that something would have been posted by now, by someone who had recieved notice of a November interview.

I still haven't received my letter in the mail... I'm wondering if it got lost in the mail... What should I do if I never receive the letter when the time of my interview comes? I guess I could print off the email in which they told me my date...

Alright.. so I was looking at Tinker's signature and say that she emailed Mtl about once a week til she got a date..

Tomorrow will make it 10 days since my last email.. I think it's time

yeah, the one week I didn't get to it right away, all hell broke lose. *RME* and I ended up having one!

Try calling as well. They have to get back to answering their phones sooner or later.

When you get to the consulate just present your passport to the security people and tell them you have an appointment, they will verify and confirm your appointment without the letter, all the best to you at Montreal.

They actually said they'd send me another appointment letter in the mail, but if I don't get that one, I'll do exactly as you suggested!

Same here. We're a month and a day behind Liz, so I have my fingers crossed that we get one early December! That would work out beautifully.

When we go buy the Envelope at canada post for Mtl to put our info in, is there anyway we can add a rush delivery on it for $$?

The envelope is next day express post......there's nothing you can do until the consulate puts it in the mail. When the canada post website was working last, they still hadn't sent my visa.

Not counting on hearing anything til Jan/Feb here, if its before then what a great surprise that would be..

I also have a question about my husbands DS 230 (part 1) form..When we sent it back to Montreal in early August it had asked for my husbands mothers current address which we provided..sadly she passed away on Aug 24th..it was an unexpected death so the remainder of August and into September were very emotional, and stressful so Immigration issues were the furthest from our minds during that time..Now Im wondering if we should contact Montreal about the change on the form?, just send them another form?, or just take an updated form with us to the interview whenever that is...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

I am so sorry to hear about your MIL's passing. You have my deepest condolences. We are always our mother's children so it probably will take forever for DH to get over it.

I would just bring in a corrected DS-230 to the interview. Once the file is complete and ready for scheduling, in order to make any changes requires removal from the queue and rescheduling. The whole process will just take much too long.

Perhaps you can write them back, letting them know that you know of someone who sent in their packet 2 weeks after you with a date, and that you believe your file has been overlooked unfairly. I know it has worked for others in the past.

This is so BS .... man they pissed me off too. Email next week. Don't give up Amanda, call again. I called one week and they told me probably october, called the same week 3 days later and I was scheduled for September. So email again next week.
