I have my SSN card already with married name and it say's on the card
NOT VALID TO WORK WITHOUT DHS AUTHORIZATION.

So, If I'll receive my green card do I need to go back at SSA and show them the GC or Do I need to replace it?

Thank you!

Yes when you get your green card wait a few weeks then return to the Social Security Office and request it to be replaced with an unrestricted one.

I read all the time of people going to the SS office the day after getting green card only to get turned away, something about the computer system not being up to date, about immigration status, so waiting about 2 weeks tends to avoid that hassle.

Oh i see, that is what I was thinking. But, I can apply a work right while waiting for it? Thank you for the reply and advice...

Yes as long as you have green card, and SS card, the green card is DHS work authorization and satisfies the restriction on the card "NOT VALID TO WORK WITHOUT DHS AUTHORIZATION" So should be able to work, no problem there.
