Ok I've done everything I can. Called my senator, wrote my senator, called the US embassy, called delbros.. NO ONE seems to know anything.
It has now been 25 days since my fiance has been approved and still nothing.
What are my next steps aside from going insane?
Sorry but I'm really losing my patience here. I know she'll be here eventually but I can't stand the fact that someone is dropping the ball here somewhere taking advantage of people like me. It's almost like we're being treated like we're on AR? When in fact we were approved at the interview.
Anyone know how long I should wait? Whats the longest anyone has waited that wasn't on AR?

Email the embassy and ask for an update and mention that you are concerned since your SO was approved and should of received her visa by now? Hopefully, they will send you an email back and tell you the status.

There is no email address. Furthermore I've already called.. just keeps saying its still processing. Why the heck does it take so long?

hi!
Although my visa is different from your fiance, I think we have the same case. I got interviewed last Oct 13 and up until now my visa hasn't been released by the embassy.
I applied for an L2 visa and I was assured by the embassy that I got approved since the consul took my passport. The same as you I emailed, faxed and called the embassy.
They said that they had some technical difficulties at that time and I "think" they were trying to fix the records of the applicants. So those approved visas which were unfortunately *hit* by their system glitch were all in backlog.

I don't know if AR situation is same as ours. We were approved on oct 5th.. somehow the embassy hasn't even released the visa yet. I called the senators office and she gives me some bs excuse like I-130 applications are backed up without any explaination. Then I tell her mam there are people who passed the interview 2 weeks after us and they already have their K1 Visa. She can't even tell me when she'll reply me.. she just said wait 1 or more weeks.. wow.. just wow.

Was it also K1 visa? Are you sure she wasn't on AR? or was she approved?
I don't understand how some people get it in 3 days and some people like your friend gets it in 6 weeks? Thats crazy.

Something doesn't add up here.. if you say she had her interview on july 28th and got her visa in oct 7 then that is more than 6 weeks. thats more like 8 weeks.. are you sure you got the numbers right?
Also did they ever tell her why it took so long to get her visa even if she's approved? Don't most everyone get it within two weeks if they are approved?

Does anyone here know exactly what the consul "works on?" that takes this long? I thought the interview is the last thing? If you're approve they just print the visa no?

It sounds like you are in Administrative Processing and their is no time limit for them to complete your case. All you can do is sit back and allow them to finish their processing. You will not be told anything from the embassy until they are further ready to process the visa. Stay strong, stay positive and hopefully your AP will finish soon.

Unfortunately you fell into the middle of a lot of Philippine holidays. They do not work during the last week of Ramadan, then there is All Hallows week and All Saints Day. They also get the U.S. Holidays. I am applying for a job at the Embassy! Payato

I would call them and offer to pick it up if they have it. It is probably sitting in an office somewhere.
Call them so they can track it down!

Ramadan? Isn't that a muslim holiday? Why do they have to celebrate every religious holiday? I thought the only muslims in the philippines were terrorists?

I do not think you meant to offend or say what you wrote, but not all muslims are terrorist and not all terrorist are muslim.
The Filipinos celebrate every holiday and even make up holidays as they go along. I have worked in the Embassy many times and it is frustrating as hell trying to get things done when they are always off work because of some short noticed presidential declared holiday. Just found out there may be yet another unnamed Filipino holiday 30 Nov and probably 1 Dec too. Payato

Hi!
A word of advice for you "Be patient!". Actually what happens some times, embassy approves everything but to clear last piece of doubt, they do a final back ground check through department of state. In most cases it takes some where between 3 and 3-1/2 months. Once they get the feed back from department of state, they issue the visa right away. The embassy kept my passport with them for ever 3 months and once the positive feed back was there from DOS they issued the visa.
For your satisfaction, you can call the department of state and ask for the status of your case. I am pretty sure, you will get some kind of answer from there.
Good luck!
