Well, Tanja did not quite understand the question. She has two red passports, both book-like. The international one is valid for 5 years.
Does the tourist one have the same duration and features?

its a K1 visa... but the embassy didn't know the difference what so ever.
She needs a "permanent" (aka long-term) international Russian Passport.
A "tourist international passport" for a citizen of the Russian Federations is of short duration, allowing them to leave the country for a short time as a visitor (tourist) somewhere else. At least as I understand it.
If she's getting a K-1 visa to ENTER the US, then she should have an INTERNATIONAL (permanent) Russian Passport in order to exit (and enter again, if she desires) Russia...
The VISA is used to ENTER America. The Passport is used to leave (and re-enter) Russia, as well as to identify her as a Russian citizen abroad.
Since ostensibly, I am sure the K-1 petitioner Sling hopes she will live here for longer than the 90 days the K-1 Visa is good for, I would likely think she should get the PERMANENT Russian citizen international passport.
It does have an expiration date, but it is permanent (can be renewed...)
My .02 kopecks worth. Sheesh!
