I am protesting...I want this issue pinned! protest6wz.gif

Petitions Returned to the United States

More and more this is how Morocco is handling visa petitions, and it does not matter the amount of proof of relationship you provide. We need a central place to review/share extremely important information to help ourselves and others going through this issue. Possibly even prevent this from happening to others in the future.

I will gladly create a legible, credible, and searchable compilation of all immigration guidelines surrounding petition return/revocation, research, etc. if VJ would commit to pinning this issue for us. Even if it is only in the ME/NA forum...PIN IT PLEASE?????

I certainly think it should be pinned. It seems more important than the Yallah thread - no offense anyone. I think it not only helps the people who have had this result but those with interviews ahead.

I agree completely. Even though my fiance won't be going through morocco I find it very interesting and informitive. I have been following this and reading all your posts concerning this issue. At least we can be more prepared if this ever does happen to the rest of us. You never know.
~kiyah~
Exactly denali...exactly. yes.gif

Shall we create a poll to support the pinning of this issue...what will make them realize how serious this is? It will require a lot of support from anyone affected and interested...meaning you will need to post.

Like I said...I am more than willing to create a well documented post providing links to all of the immigration guidelines surrounding this issue, all the research myself and others have done making it easy for us to retrieve and share information, etc.

Same here. There should be a central location that all available information about these situations can be located. While its obviously a trend in Morocco at this time, this is not exclusively a ME/NA concern. Is there a reason this is not a sparate forum next to the waivers/ap room? To someone learning their case is being sent back to uscis...finding a forum of useful info and similar cases might be a huge relief and a heaven-sent resource...

You got my support to get the thread pinned.
What is currently happening in Casa consulate can happen somewhere else too.

you got my support, good.gif
This is a very serious issue, & alot of people appear to be lost when faced with this problem.
Should be pinned for sure, but a seperate forum would be much apreciated.
myfellah
Kiya, you have taken on a very big responsibility and I applaude you and your efforts so far. I really do feel for you and the other ladies who are having their petitions returned to the United States. Each one of us ladies understand how much we love our men and the nightmare of having this happen.

I think it would be a marvelous idea to have this subject pinned. I hope they listen and take action.

I agree!!! I have wanted this now for almost a year. We were denied March 25 and my husband had so much proof of our relationship but was not asked to show it. And guess why we were denied? "Due to the validity of the relationship"!!!!!!

Casa is violating the law and we are letting them get away with it!!!!!!! Even though we have overcome the denial, we will be here to help others fight for their rights. I do beleive we need to band together as a group and take this issue to court!!

I have researched so much on this subject already. I saw it's time to get the courts involved.

Oops...I mean I SAY it's time we take action in the courts.

I think it's a great idea to pin this topic in one of the non-regional areas of VJ where everyone can easily access it. Perhaps the administrators might consider retitling the waivers forum to specifically include returned petitions, or even give this subject its own forum entirely.

A returned petition has to be devastating to anyone going through this already arduous and stressful process. The shared info and advice could help a lot of people who otherwise may be at a complete loss as to how to proceed next. Right now there's not a centralized place to find such info, without doing specific searches for threads that may be all over the place. We see the stories of Kiya's and other Moroccan cases because they are here in the ME/NA forum, but others on VJ could certainly benefit from these threads.

My heart goes out to all of you facing this difficult situation... my thoughts and prayers with you and your loved ones.

I agree too!!!

This is just a thought, and maybe no one else will want to do this, but what are the chances that everyone here going through Casa that had their petitions sent back to the CIS without a resonable explanation would want to send a copy of their 221(g) in one letter to Maura Harty? This way she could see that many people have them sent back without a reasonable explanation as to why, thus sparking an investigation of Morocco.

Whats your thoughts ladies?

I requested a new forum from Captain Ewok weeks ago and was asked to post the topic in the Waivers section. Unfortunately I think this is not a good place for this issue...maybe if it was pinned in the Waivers section it would be productive, but only posting the topic in that forum has been fruitless thus far. whistling.gif

I definitely agree petitioners going through other consulates can benefit from this topic...but it needs to be pinned somewhere smart. This is a very serious issue and we need it easily accessible.

I am all for it! Someone high up has got to take a look at this...even with visa fraud being their first priority...we DESERVE fair and due process. Only telling us our files are sent back for the validity of the relationship is a cowardly way of avoiding the real explanation...and we only get this canned explanation after involving our senators!

good.gif [color=#006600][font=Palatino Linotype] Kiya, My deepest gratitude goes to you now for trying to get this subject pinned. As you know, our petition was also sent back to USCIS from Casablanca.
We still dont have any decisions from them. Jaouad's interview was on October 11, 2005 and of course, their reasons for the "soft" denial were the infamous 221g, being sent back to BCIS to further review the validity of the relationship. We are devastated even to this day by that decision, and cannot help but feel that it was due to a certain CO who was there at that time. Seems she takes much pleasure in torturing people who are in love. I also have learned so much since this time, and found that even though our petition for our 130 was well on its way, as it was at the NVC awaiting transfer to Casa, it stopped and was also sent back to Vermont along with our 129f. We have been married now for 15 months, and they sent us into this deep abyss that so many are in. They simply do not care about what our intentions are and they lie about everything. They will not tell us what any of the objections are, even with the congressmen involved. So girl YOU GO WITH THIS! and you will have my undying support and love. Jean (Fatima) rose.gif
MaryandMian
I also vote to pin this topic. There is just not enough information available and what information that is found and posted it is all over VJ. Good luck on getting it pinned.

ah! thank you! that is a very very good idea chiquita! I am so thankful to VJ and to you ladies for posting your experience! *hugs ya'll*

FYI....BCIS will NOT tell you WHY your petition was returned!!!

I know everyone keeps saying that we will find out the reason, but you won't! I have never found out why. BCIS just quoted law they have information saying it appears my husband is not eligable.

I just wanted everyone to know...you will never know the reason the CO gave for the denial.
Yaads
Although my husband did not go through the ME we also recieved a 221g but were fortunate to settle it very easily. I have visited this forum occasionally to read of your cases and am amazed at your strength, courage, and support for one another. I am so sorry to all those being played with by the Casa consulate. It is an outrage and it can't be allowed to go on any longer.

You have my support to have this pinned. It is valuable information that can benefit anyone...no matter the consulate they are going through. Keep the faith and stay strong rose.gif

Also it might be beneficial to post this thread or a link to this thread in the site related discussion forum. There will be a greater chance of getting this thread recognized and recieving support from a greater majority of the board. Not very many people visit the regional forums so bringing it to light in the site discussion forum could really help your cause star_smile.gif

Instead of spamming the board because no one was stalking your posts, reading your protests, have you sent a PM to Cap'n Ewok (the Administrator) and asked him to pin it? Seems you're making a Federal case about this.
I am confused. Did you ask, and were told your topic could not be pinned?

It would be a courtesy to the community if you would track down your many posts and ask for all but one of them to be removed; this topic does not need to be pinned to every forum.
kerewin21
It should be pinned, but I agree it should be put somewhere other than ME/NA because the information you obtain will apply to all countries. Waivers forum may not be the best place in the world, but I think it's the best option you have.

You are all in my thoughts. The Casa people (actually, one particular Casa person) are just plain mean and seem to be violating standard operating procedures, and nobody in charge seems to care.

I think a well thought-out letter to this Maura chick is a really good idea.

This topic is for supporting this issue, not condeming the effort. If you read the entire post you will see that I asked for a new forum and was asked to post in the Waiver section...which was a fruitless effort. Talk about courtesy...if my posts bother you then ignore them, it is not like I posted this more than once in the K1/K3/CR1/Site Topic, I do not consider that spamming the board. This effort is to rally people who actually care about this issue. No need to make an attempt of outcasting me for it.

Couldn't have said it better! Posting ONCE in various RELEVANT forums does not constitute spamming. Some people only visit certain forums and don't venture to others. She (and others) are just trying to make more of the board aware of the issue.

Probably all that Meauxna was saying was that she wondered if you had PMd Captain Ewok asking him to pin it. We've asked to have certain threads pinned in the past and it's not been a problem.
AngelK96
I agree with Jenn! She could have said it in a nicer way it's not like we all know how to get something pinned on VJ. You can email the admin and ask if you can have it pinned here and in the waivers section.
