Hello Everyone, I'm now in the NVC waiting stages, they just recieved my document. I'm just a little concerned on how long our petition will be sitting at the NVC. I just got off the phone with an NVC agent
and they told me that it was going under administrative processing and that it could take any amount of time. So i'm now confused sad.gif . Does that mean that it's going to be there longer??Has anyone had a similar experience with the NVC??
Thanks

Every case is different and I'm sure some people who have been through it will chime in here to give you an idea. I do know that Barry2005 was recently in adm. review at the NVC but it was only 2 weeks so there is hope!

So is this administrative Review process something different???, or is this just standard procedure??? Our petition arrived there on October 23 so we are looking at 3 days already. Please help those of you that have been in my shoes
Thanks

Have a read of some of the threads in the NVC forum on administrative processing/review at NVC. It is a normal process of NVC, but the time it takes varies. I hope your wait is not too long.

The beneficiary is from Cuba. I wasn't even aware Cubans could immigrate to the US. Wouldn't there be a long security clearance check for people immigrating from Cuba?

Yes there is immigration to the US for Cubans http://havana.usinterestsection.gov/family...immigrants.html
And no, not necessarily longer in AP. I have seen members where this whole process has gone just as fast as for anyone else even though to my knowledge Cuba is one of the T7 countries.

You should not worry too much. First I thought it will take long too when I got the notice that they receive our case (after almost 3 weeks) and within 1 week they forwarded it to the embassy.
So hang in there!!!! Things will work out!
