Hi,
For the I-230.....
Can we just call the automated phone system to find out if the 230 has been generated? helpsmilie.gif

Or must we speek to a live operator?

Thanks! These shortcuts have already saved me about 3 weeks! :-) kicking.gif

Mike,

I just spoke with them last night about this because that is all I have left also - these shortcuts make it blazing fast! You need to call NVC, reach an operator, and ask them if #1 - the IV fee bill has been received and processed and then #2 - if the I-130 has been generated.

I have had GREAT success with very friendly and informative operators, and the girl last night stated the my IV Fee payment had been received and to expect a I-230 to be processed in 10-14 days.

Hope that helps, and good luck!

You are better off talking with an operator live in order to get the very latest update. However, the automated system, though not updated right away, can be helpful as well. When the automated system will say, "NVC is ready to accept the biographical information from the applicant," then you can send your pre-prepared DS 230 packet to NVC.

Thanks simple_male!

Thanks Bradyvicki except what you said was a little confusing.
your first paragraph said:
"#2 - if the I-130 has been generated"
Did you mean I-230?

And in your 2nd paragraph you said:
"my IV Fee payment had been received and to expect a I-230 to be processed in 10-14 days"
Did you mean generated instead of processed? :-) Thanks though I think I understand.

It is DS 230, not I-230.
