Just sent K-3 last weekend and reached Chicago center last night.

Is there anyone just got K-3 approved recently? What was your NOA date? I checked USCIS site and it is showing the processing date is April 05 for K3. I just want to get some sense how fast I possibly could get my K-3 approved.

Many thanks!!!

The timelines on this site are very useful in getting an idea on processing times, Select K-3/Advance view and look at time from I-130 sent to NOA2 http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/

Don't forget to do a timeline. timeline.gif

Aside from the timeline, as linked above.

There is a thread on here that is called 'where the k3 stands' if you click on the last page of that, you should be able to get an excellent idea of how long it has taken others.

However, as you probably know, it's appears to be pretty random. About every month one or two people don't get the approvals that others get...

Good luck with your journey! You'll find this place to be a great resource and system of support.

How fast a K-3 COULD get approved and how fast they actually DO get approved are 2 entirely different animals. There is simply no rhyme and no reason to the entire process. I know its disheartening and frustrating to read that but sadly it's the cold hard truth. Having any expectations of what SHOULD be the case will only set you up for potential disappointment and comparing your timeline to others doesnt seem to be helpful either. I am not a cynic but I am a realist. Prior to starting our journey I went over all timelines, compared , drew up a mock schedule of when certain events should occur. According to my schedule , my husband should be sitting here beside me. Sadly it didnt turn out that way. So, in answer to the "could" query, I guess I'd have to say 30 or so days in some cases although the likelihood of that is well ....not likely.

Best of luck!!!

Check out my timeline.. Roughly around 5-6 months wait...It's a case-to-case basis really.. Just make sure you have submitted everything that they need so you won't be given an R.F.E. You can check out the Processing Times in this website... The best of luck to you on your journey!

Personally, I dont see any stability in the current K3 process or any way to truly predict a time frame. I personally believe it is best to also apply for the CR1 and set you sites on approximately 1 year, start to finish - this way you will be excited IF the K3 comes sooner and will not be disappointed if the CR1 is received at a normal speed.

I would not even go by what they say on USCIS for processing dates. I would look at the immigration timelines here on visajourney to get some idea and hope for the best.
We have been very lucky so far. I started the process on July 5th and my husband has his interview November 15th. I think it helped that we did not get the dreaded RFE. Good luck with ur visa journey.
