I've visited him for nearly two weeks and then 3 weeks. Long enough to know he hogs the bed and the covers, loves socks, sleeps halfway UP the headboard on the bed, isn't coherant until he has had coffee, loves cheese on everything, has huge hands, has alot of hair on his head, is insanely funny, adores his cat, can spend two hours shopping in Wal-Mart...oh and that he loves me unconditionally.

We spent time together over six years...about 2 months per year...so about a year I guess??

We did DCF, but it's complicated...we were apart, yes, just because I had to go to AUstralia to file...
Nessa
Since we started the process we've spent 6 motnhs apart, he's been in Brazil twice, around 11 days each time.
After I got the visa we were together in Brazil and flew to USA and have been together since, living together, getting married next month. good.gif

We lived together for 7 months until my visa ran out and I moved back to the States.
After that I'd go back to visit my fiance whenever school wasn't in session (I'm a teacher).
When I was there last summer we started getting the paperwork together and mailed out the petition in September.
Now we'll see each other again for the interview....

Ditto, with "no, none, yes".

Before I got the Visa we were together for a short time. I move to america when I got the visa since then we have been together all the time kicking.gif

I haven't seen him since we filed, but he's going to come here for a week over New Year's, and I'll probably go there for two and a bit in March (for the interview.)

Prior to filing, we've probably spent between four and five months together, in nine visits spread out over 2.5 years.

We were not able to be together during the visa process (I wish). Only spent 2 weeks together face to face (one trip)before he came over on the K1 visa. I have no problem admitting that since we have been happily married for over 2 years. We really wished we could have spent more time together before he got the visa(just cuz we missed eachother), but it was not financially possible.

I think it was first visit 5 days, second 7 days, third 10 days...apart while we waited for the visa and then got married.

I have lost track of how much time we spent together..... it was usually only for a weekend though...

the longest time we spent together was the week after we got married.... after marriage we saw each at least every other month but still only for a weekend....
xjennyinstereox
We've known each other for nearly 7 years and after we started dating, I visited him by bus every 10 days... longest we went without seeing eachother was 20 days I think.. and I went nuts. So I really really can't complain. It was hard enough as it was, and I can't imagine being separated for months at a time. sad.gif I hope everyone who's separated right now is reunited asap!!!!! rose.gif rose.gif rose.gif rose.gif

We were apart more than we were together. Been together a total of two years before getting married.

My first post here...

We are kicking ourselves for not knowing more of what we were doing, but life moves so fast, and now we are separated.

We met in Business School in Germany. She came to the USA twice on 90 day visa waivers while I finished my last year of school. Then we went to France and did all this craziness over there, got married in July 04. I got my Carte de Sejour (like a green card) and we lived in France while she finished her Bac +4 (University). I worked.

Then, we went to the UK, which was a breeze compared to the USA and France, I was able to make my appointment online, went to the consulate in Paris, got my UK residency in a matter of weeks. I was UK resident on a "Spouse of EU Citizen" visa, as my wife was doing a Masters at LSE. So, we lived in the UK for a year, and decided to come back to the USA. So now here I am, apart from her for the first time since we got married two and half years ago.

This sucks!

Thank god for the internet though....

Jatin and I met back in April 2005 for 1 day and then august 2005 through february 2006.. when we started this visa process back in march 2006 and I have not seen him in almost 10 months now... But in just a few more days he is going to be here permitelly WOOOOHOOOOOOOOO! Good Luck to everyone on their visa journey

Wow, I feel so lucky. My hubby and I were together for a month, then apart for six weeks, and then we've been physically together ever since. I was expecting to have to go back to the UK to wait for my K1 interview, but since we withdrew it and filed for AOS I didn't even have to leave him then.

I feel for so many of you.

We haven't seen each other in 11 months and will be mailing out the K-1 tomorrow. We've agreed to stash every dollar we can to move him here and have a decent savings account to fall back on if we need to so we won't be seeing each other til he moves here, we just can't justify spending all that money when we'll really need it in our savings when he moves here. It's hard, but we know it'll pay off.

What an interesting & exciting life you two have shared so far. Bet you have loads of cool stories smile.gif

We have been together for over 3 years and married 3 months... I hope we are together when the visa is granted (and I think we have to be, we will file for DCF later on)...
rebex05
If only I could be with him... not that easy for him to come here and not exactly able to go there. It has been 10 months since we have seen each other and will be longer than that, as I am planning to go be with him for whenever he has the interview. As of now we are in the end stages of sending in all our paperwork for the I-129F petition... I know we have a long wait. All that to say it has been way too long crying.gif ... but the wait is more than worth it luv.gif .
Rob and Melinda
I visited Melinda every six weeks for 3 weeks at a time over the 6 months that we were apart.
