Here's an old link to another Mexico thread - outdated but still good reading:
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=87Mine's Chilango from D.F. which is like my second home these days . . .
E&K is the fiance - from close to the border, right E?
Hola a todas!
Yeap, KK is right, I'm the 'E' girl

So we are all ladies here

I'm from Reynosa, Tamaulipas-Right in the border, y mi futuro marido is from Detroit, Michigan
Yeah UCLA_Cutie, is just the two of us left in the NOA2 wait

hopefully it won't be too long anymore

We are really..REALLY tired of waiting, and it's just getting harder and harder to be apart

I'm going to be spending 6 weeks with him starting in November, and we're hoping I can go back again in January to finally get married after spending the Christmas holidays with my family
luvinmb, I thought that was the case at some point, but now I'm not so sure it is a good idea to just go as soon as CDJ gets the packet from NVC. I would go as soon as you get it in the US though, I've heard that many times it never gets received in Mexico.
Thanks for the words Allie, I'm actually pretty nervous about the Juarez experience. In the past I wasn't too dilligent turning in my I-94's when they expired- actually not a lot of people that got them at the border were, since they never ask for them when you return to mexico by land, you just pay the toll- so I'm affraid they'll think I overstayed at some point even though I never did

I did turn in a copy of my "laser" visa with the I129F, so hopefully that'll help speed up any checks they want to do. I've been pretty good about turning the I-94's in before they expire since 9/11, and I've not been denied entry because of an "overstay" , but with these people you never know
KK & Wanting, I'm sorry to hear about the 10+ month wait!!!!!! That's awful

I thought waivers took 6 months TOP to approve!
I'll be soo happy when I don't have to deal with US immigration anymore
Mucha Suerte para todas!
