Hi all, I called NVC and they said they have our case there now after our NOA2, and that i has been assigned the new MOS number.. First, does that imply approval at NVC? The lady ther said to wait some days, then call back to see if it has been sent to Moscow.. Also, looking at the Moscow site, I see that I can lookup the MOS number after Moscow has been notified, the list is updated on Mondays I think..

And I asked earlier about medical centers, and got some good info.. One more question about that since the date is coming closer.. I read here and on russianmeetingplace about harrasment, broken equipment and other problems at MOM.. Is it still the case, or is the MOM experience improving? I'd be willing to pay some extra at another clinic if it would be a better option.. Any current feedback form the clinics?

I believe if you have the MOS number you are ready to go to the embassy. You should get a letter in the mail soon saying the case has been forwarded. It can take a few days after NVC is done before it actually leaves the building however. You can refer our time line in the sig for a sample of how long it may take.

I read about the possible problems with MOM too, Tanja decided to use one of the other clinics. She has her medical next Monday morning. I can update with experience after that.

I believe monday's are the updates, you can search for the MOS# on the Moscow site and find out when the interview will be...assuming your number was included in the previous update!

As for the medical center's, I'm not sure which one Olga used in Moscow, originally she was planning on a Vladivostok medical as it is closer to home...Doc bailed the day she wanted to do the medical and thus she had to wait until she arrived in Moscow!

Just keep checking that "updated" list on the embassy website. Match your number to theirs.

I too think once you're assigned the MOScow case number NVC has forwarded it (and thusly approved it as well) already. You will get the snail-mail confirmation letter soon, and probably before the Moscow site is updated. But, just keep on checking.

I know it's hard... but be patient! And in the mean time, get your financial support docs (I-134 and bank/tax statements, etc.) compiled and completed and sent to her. That'll give you something to do and it'll also hasten the VJ process. Hang in there.....

My wife used MOM and had a good experience. One thing I heard is that some other clinics cannot or will not give the missing vaccinations that are required for staying in the US (necessary for AOS). At MOM she elected to get the missing vaccinations and picked up an extra copy of the vaccination record. I highly suggest everyone request an extra copy of the vaccination record. It will come in very handy later as well as save you money.

Good advice!

Another question: Is the MOS number the case number now (for interview, DHL and medical)?
