Hello all, just an update here, posted that we were approved and sent to LAgos consulate in the K1 Form about 2 weeks ago. Anyway... We tracked the DHL package and when I knew it was there I emailed the Consulate, I asked them when our case(listed the Number) was uploaded into the system to please notify me. WOW they did, that was last Wednesday and then we waited to pick up the package untill MOnday just to be sure. I do not have a NOA2 notice so he only went with the Letter from the NVC and that was fine. NO problems, he did say that is took all day. Our interview date is 12/13/06. I will travel there for support. When I get back I will be happy to give you all the details and let you know how it goes. Also He said that the Medical exam takes 2 days. Xray is on the first day, then you go back for the rest.

Congrats! I hope your support trip would extend to a return trip with your SO. That way you get to kill two birds with a stone...
Personally i would put the support trip money to other use...say a shopping spree for SO on arrival or some other obscene spree but i guess i belong to the school of thought who do not place that much weight on support during the interview phase unless all documents have not been sent already. Lagos consulate, i gather, insists on only the beneficiary going in for the interview although sometimes the USC being around may have helped but i think that occurs when the CO actually poses the question.

Anyway, just my two kobos....

CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING THE INTERVIEW DATE!!!!! I wish I could be around in Naija on interview date. Unfortunately I will not attend interview because the flights are so expensive right now and I am almost certain that I will have December date also. I WISH YOU WELL ON YOUR TRAVELS TO NIGERIA!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING THE INTERVIEW DATE! I will not attend David's interview because the flights are so expensive right now and I am thinking *(and hoping) he will have December date also. The flight pricess may even go up from there. Also we are saving to finish paying for our reception!
