53 hours til the interview.

Needing a kanafa recipe for the 'kitchen challenged'. I have most of the steps under control, but I am having a hard time grasping the cheese issue. Like, what kind and what to do with it.

Awwwww thank you so much Jackie! I just got back into town and what a nice way to start my day of VJ!

Ok Kanafeh cheese, you will need to buy Nabulsi sweet cheese (unsalted cheese. If you go to your arabic store they will know exactly what that is. To use it, you will need to slices about 1/4" thick and you just put one even layer between the layers of shredded phyllo. Let me know if you need any more help with this.

Ok, when Dawn told me that cheese, I just can't fathom which one it is. Is it the cheese that makes your teeth squeak? Does it have little black things in it and is real salty and hard? Or is it a soft cheese? I really want to make this for Mohammed for Eid.

Ok its the same as the cheese with the small black seeds, except its unsalted and no seeds. Nabulsi cheese is the one with the small black seeds, you need to buy Sweet Nabulsi Cheese. I am pretty sure if you go to the arabic store in your area and tell them you need cheese for kanafeh they will know exactly what to give you. Good luck!!!

she's been busy sorting out the tv channels lately, which tv channel (abc, fox, etc) is on what channel on the tv and then matching up the schedule with the channels.

I remember the one that was thrown for me. The other night Ali and I were lying in bed remembering the entire process, who supported us and who didn't. I told him one thing I will never forget is that a bunch of girls online who don't know me stayed up all night until I told them you got approved. It was the most awesome experience ever. I talked to him earlier and he said he is fine. We are gonna talk one more time tonight. I wouldn't say that we are not worried but we are just not thinking about it. Whatever is in God's will is gonna happen, nothing we can do to change that. I'm glad he is calm, I don't want him freaking out.
