My appointment is tomorrow..... starting to get butterflies!!! Can anyone give me a time estimate as to how long the interview will last?

it will not take long and let me tell u this the people in Vancouver are EXCELLANT !!! I cannot say enough good things about them and I have heard the same from others. I think I was there maybe 1/2 hr not including waiting time. Relax it will be like your going to meet an old friend

Depends if anyone is in front of you. I think I was in there over an hour. The actual interview is about 3-5 minutes.

I was there for 2 1/2 hours last week but I was last in line, and they forgot about me after my interview. (Got sent to window 2 to await instructions for picking up the visa... and waited... and waited.) The lady was mortified when she realized I was there and ran off to get the visa so I wouldn't have to come back.

To echo what others have said: Vancouver's great! Everyone was very friendly, from the guards, to the lady who puts the documents in order, to the consular officer who does the interviews.

Vancouver is, as everyone has said, GREAT! Ophilia is the name of the lady taking your paperwork - she is stern, but if you are organized (which anyone on VJ is) she will love you! I was there for a total of 2.5 hours but i chatted with the others who were getting interviewed. I was interviewed last. The interviewer is really nice and it is nothing more than a chat. Really cool people there! Have fun!
