Good news. I called the NVC and they entered the I-130 on Oct.6. The automated voice also told me it would take 6 to 8 weeks for the beneficiary to receive notification. Then I called back to talk to a person and I was so embarassed cuz I got the year of his birth wrong. We had a good laugh. I told her I sometimes forget my kids birthdates. Anyways, she told me they got the I-129F yesterday (10/10/06). Also that it would take 4 weeks for them to send it to the consulate but then she said 2-4 weeks. SO, I hope the papers I sent to my husband will get there soon. I just mailed them today. Everything seems to be moving so fast. I hope for everyone else the process will start moving more quickly.
