I recieved my EAD card the other day and had to return it as it had a date error on it. Today I recieved a letter saying "welcome to the united states" and that they will be sending out my Permanent Resident Card within 3 weeks...

What I want to know is, is this card my EAD card that I sent back already?

If not,

Can I get my SSN number and such with this Permanent Resident Card and not worry about my EAD card?

Once your have your PR card (Green Card), you don't need an EAD anymore.

You can take your Green Card down to the SSA office and get a SSN card.

cholet,

The letter says "Permanent Resident Card". Why do you think it might be meaning 'Eamployment Authorization Card'?
