Hello all,

I was wondering if any of you have a valid telephone number for the US Consulate in Lagos, I used the one posed here on VJ in the embasy section, and did not have much luck, I was answered with a recording that directed me to use email. I did Email, but I understand that sometimes those do not get answered. I know our Case arrive this morning Lagos time, I tracked the DHL shipment. I was just trying to find out telephone numbers that led to actual live people. Also if anyone knows about how long it takes from the time of the upload to the time of the interview. 1 month, 2 months? not to sure what it usually is. Thanks in advance for everyones help. When I have benefical news I will share with everyone yes.gif

Regards,
Heather

Calling will lead to a waste of phone card and money cos they will keep transferring to no one. Verify with the NVC that your case has been sent, you can do this by phone and they send you a letter. Usually about a week after it arrives there, just take your NOA2 and the NVC letter and pick up your packet. when we did it, we waited two weeks after we were told it was sent. we e-mailed them and they didn't respond until after he had already picked up his packet and scheduled his interview.

The above post is right on the money: Once you connect and ask about K1 visa, you are instantly transferred to a recorded message that reminds you how effective e-mails are or words to that effect...

Dont take my word for it..........see below for numbers..

Well then I have a problem...I never got a NOA2 notice just my letter from the NVC stating that my case was sent to Lagos. I tried to call to get my notice and I was transferred and was on hold for 45 min. ( Ithink they closed While I was on hold) I finally had to hang up. I will have to try again tomorrow. Has anyone ever picked up the packets with only the letter from the NVC?

i think you should be okay with what you have. i would try it, the important thing is that you have some proof and it is also in their system, you should probably take the NOA1 as well
