We're aiming towards late February. We are having a small problem with passports though. We have to get them re-newed for all three kids plus my youngest needs to be registered with the embassy. We are supposed to go Friday but I am not so sure we're gonna be able to go....we need a miracle right now with that! Her next appointment wasnt until March 31st!! blink.gif

MistyB...

I just realized you had posted this! I am so jealous......

May I ask why you had to originally filed the waiver......

We are hoping for a small miracle too and a approval, I really don't want to be denied.
TracyTN
Ah well Misty, you can handle getting passports sorted out! At least the major obstacle has now been jumped. smile.gif

Congrats Misty! I know it's been a frustrating process for you. So happy that it's finally over... rose.gif

jpkeswim--we filed because hubby committed a CIMT back in '95. Theft, receiving stolen property, and property damage were his charges. He never went to jail, and paid heavy fines. But I think it helped his case he wrote a remorse letter and we have children together. smile.gif

No, not nearly as ridiculous or frustrating as to what you and Javier have to go through! I wish you both loads of luck!!!

Nigel or Misty...

When you emailed the embassy what did you say in the email, we are getting so anxious I think we are going to email them now.....maybe it will move our case along....
MistyB
I was basically as nice as humanly possible. I kissed their @ss as much as possible. I was basically asking them if they had even received the darn thing yet.

I would just phrase it like it's been 8+ weeks since you received our waiver, can you give us a status report or something like that. I hope that made sense. I only really got one rude reply in all the emails I sent them so usually they are pretty nice. Just make sure you include your filing date and case number.

Hello misty and nigel

I thought my last reply didn't go through but then I checked this forum....I will try to email them today...she I include our names? Or just his name?
MistyB
I just wrote the letters basically for my husband. It was all me. I handled the whole immigration thing from start to finish. wink.gif I am such a control freak I know! I usually just said my husband this and that..and signed it myself on his behalf and put when it was filed and his case number.
