I know I haven't gotten my NOA2 yet but I'm just trying to get all the info I need so we are ready. I know in Mexico and the US you don't have to get your Police Certificates but I believe you have to get your Military Records (for Mexico). I told my Fiance that and he didn't know where to go or how to get this. I'm not sure what to tell him either.

MILITARY RECORD
Available. Military identity cards (cartilla militar) may be accepted in lieu of a record from the Ministry of Defense, or of the Navy. However, in the case of individuals who have served, or are serving in a career status, military records may be obtained from the Secretaria de la Defensa Nacional (Ministry of National Defense) or from the Secretaria de Marina (Ministry of the Navy) in Mexico City.

Military records are not required in Mexico. Check out the CDJ website and the fiance packet to see what they require.

Okay KitKat I'm an idiot lol. I went to this site the other day and that is when I say I needed the Military records I also noticed that I needed to fill out the I-864 and that the applicaiton was going to cost a whole lot more then I thought. When I saw your response I went and looked again and started to copy and past where it said about the military records. Then I realized I was looking at the Instruction Package for Immigrant Visa Applicants and that if I just scrolled down a little I would find the right instructions blush.gif

Needless to say I like the instructions so much better for the Fiancee Packet.yes.gif

One more question then. If I'm understanding what I'm reading correctly when NVC sends our stuff to CDJ we can already have our info ready and basically go for our Medical Examinatin and interview as soon as we verify that CDJ has received our papers from NVC.

And thank you KitKat you always seem to have the answers for my many times stupid questions blush.gif
