Henia
Esalaam, Hello and Salut everyone...Also Jumuaa Mabrouk!

I pray everyone is doing well...

Noura: when is Said coming already?

Sarah: Did Hicham and you have a good birthday celebration?

Charles: When you bringing back Nessa?

Well this Friday offically sucks... dead.gif cray5ol.gif

I am not going to cook anything, as we have nothing in the house ( I am going out to buy anything, nor will I ask my husband to go) I donnot even have the mood. Chorba, bread and salad today. sad.gif

I am going to devote all my day to listening to some Quran recitations and do some religious study. I feel I have been lacking in my Sunnah and nafl prayers, so I better just concentrate on those instead of anything other things...like BS!

Kara: I miss you!

Jamie: Even thou, you won't read this I miss you soooo much!

Yacine: Come get me... cray5ol.gif

Meriem: Esalaam for Hachemi, thanks for your email...I am going to reply later in the afternoon when I feel up to it.

Layla: Any news?

Tanya: Any news?

Amal: Hello girly...

Jean: Hello funny lady... laughing.gif

Chris: Hello girly...

Rahma: did you post how that Tarawee prayer was, that you went to? I did not see it... I am interested to know.

Anyway... Someone PLZ post on a happier note...

Hmmm maybe we need some drama (least so I forget) eb0dfafc.gif (no I am just joking... Shut up Henia it is Ramadan)

Jenn!

It's the first Friday nite I don't have to work in several weeks... I'm going out to dinner w/ a girlfriend. Where? of all places, the restaurant where I dance blush.gif I'm craving the food there and can't go for lunch and I want to see my other dear friend dance - she's such a beautiful dancer and it'll be nice to be a patron instead of working. wink.gif Hope your Friday looks up, Henia.

Well it's raining, it's freezing cold, and I have a three day weekend coming up! Well kind of a three day weekend, I am working at a festival tomorrow morning for my job, but at least it will be fun and not just sitting on my bottom. Hopefully it wont be raining tomorrow.

Adil and I were watching a movie called "The Message" about The Holy Qur'an, and I passed out on the floor. I think is was at 10 when my husband woke me up to go to the bedroom. All I remember from that was me crawling from where I fell asleep to the bedroom. Anyway, I woke up this morning feeling like I needed just a little more sleep. I rolled over and asked Adil if he could take me to work, he said "MMMMhhmmm." I couln't tell if he was serious or not cause usually he says no. But I reset my alarm and slept until 7:30! Now I am feeling good. This is the most sleep I have had in a long time. I think I am going to have to start going to bed earlier from now on.

Well I hope everyone has a good day today and a great weekend!

ETA: I just saw that my manager is on a site just like this but for the Philadelphia Eagles, so he can't ever yell at me for coming on VJ!
MrsAmera
Well I spent the morning trying to work out our EAD issue. I called USCIS and the lady said "well they should have issued your husband's interim EAD at the infopass appointment you made last month" Niiiiiiice.....So much for following their directions - I can't beleive I've waited another month to try to find out what's going on. Oh well I guess. So next Wednesday we're headed back to St. Paul to try again. Inshallah this time it will all work out.

We're going to Friday prayers today and I have to work at 3pm and having dinner at my moms. I need to relax!! Have a great day ladies - hang in there Henia!

The sheikh was sick, so he didn't come crying.gif I'm still bummed

Other than that, not much new. I found stuffed animal I absolutely must get for my cubicle at work

There are too many cool stuffed animals at Hallmark. I had to practically sit on my hand not to buy the whole lot.

You sound like me last night. I was nodding off at 9 pm, finally crawled in bed at 9:35 and died. The phone rang at 1:30 am and I have no idea how it ended up in my hand but it was Mohammed apologizing for waking me. I remember him saying he just needed to hear my voice he was having a rough day. I attempted conversation but I think it was pretty incoherent because he told me thank you, gave me a kiss, and sent me back to bed. ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I have no idea what we talked about. lol I actually feel horrible because this is the first time I just couldn't pull my act together for him. I had to get up at 5, hit the road at 6 and was at my desk working before 7. Blah. I'm ready for a nap...........

Henia - nothing much I can say except what has already been said - my hugs and prayers are with you. Like others have said I'm really amazed with your grace, poise, and faith during all this.

Happy Friday everyone - I'll be studying for midterms and have school on Monday..Boooo double whammy smile.gif

I know that I talked to my dad for a second, I think he was saying something about the car, but I looked on my phone this morning and my best friend called and I must have answered it, but I don't know what was said. I hope I didn't say anything mean. I will have to call her tonight after work. This new medicine I am taking to reduce migraines makes me so sleepy, so I decided to take it at night and I will be able to sleep better. I guess it works!

Some good news - we just got approved at the USCIS - SO SUPER FAST. We went through Vermont and it was literally mailed September 20th. kicking.gif (I have been waiting for an excuse to use that smiley)

Okay so next is the National Visa Center - then directly to the Embassy? Because it looks like on the flow chart that there is another step in there where you do an affidavit of support??

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!!
sarah and hicham
Happy Friday!

I took Hicham to work this morning and he called me 2 minutes later telling me to come back and pick him up so he's off for the afternoon yay!

I had a good birthday thank you Henia!

Happy Friday girls! Took my daughter to one of the LONG doctor visits today. They are going to do an endoscopy in the near future. They want this done before the 27th when she sees another specialist. They were throwing out all sorts of diagnosis' to me today. Really freaked me out. I just have to leave everything in Gods hands and pray everything will be ok.

You submitted your application on Sept 20 and you got approved already? Are you sure its not NOA1?
moody
Yeah I'd recheck that..it sounds like NOA1.

I am kind of shocked as well...but my lawyer emailed me when we got the NOA1 (with the case number) and then emailed me today that we got the USCIS Approval. He said that the next step is the National Visa Center then Embassy. Plus when I log into the USCIS Case Status page and type in my case numbere it says it was approved.

Am I missing something?

The case number doesnt show up on NOA1 and the NOA1 is not the approval. I hope your lawyer is aware of that. But if the USCIS page says you are approved then I think you just broke a world record. Congrats! star_smile.gif rose.gif

However I would have your attorney confrim that its not an error
chris4336
So what exactly is the NOA1. Basically my chain of events was this:

1. Lawyer mails it out
2. Lawyer emails me that he received I797 and we are processed and have a case number that I can check on the USCIS website
3. Lawyer emails me today saying it was approved, when I log onto the website and type in the number it says "I129-F" current status: Approved

My lawyer did say it was fast, but that he expected Vermont to go pretty fast...He said next stop is National Visa Center then Embassy

NOA1 is the reciept date of your application at the USCIS. They send this notice out when they have recieved your application, they assign you a USCIS case number.

The next course of action would be to get an NOA2 (approval notice) that is if they don't send you an RFE. Seeing as you have an attorney, you most likely have all your ducks in a row. If the online status says approved, then I am pretty sure you are. I just hope its not a glitch. Its just surprising that they would approved a case that was send in on the 20th of Sept because it hasnt even been 2 weeks. But who knows maybe you got lucky! rose.gif

Anyhoo, look for your NOA2 in the mail to confirm it or the letter from the NVC.

I just checked the CIS website and it looks like Vermont is now processing cases from March 2006 for 129F applications. The last time that site was updated was Sept 19 so I'm not sure how accurate it is.

I'm not sure if I would call the CIS or not, it might be like shooting yourself in the foot. laughing.gif Either way, congrats!
chris4336
Lets hope its not a glitch haha...Ill talk to my lawyer on Tuesday to check. If it was in fact approved then the next thing we will be dealing with is the embassy right?

Yeah I checked the USCIS site as well the other day and when I saw March got all upset. Do you guys really think this could be a mistake? Maybe my lawyer mixed up our case number or something??

Thanks for the advice smile.gif

Lets just hope it wasn't a mistake... luv.gif If it was approved, the NVC will be the next step, then the Embassy. I think Algeria moves quite fast too from I have seen.

Lawyers have been known to make mistakes in the past but you never know.

There have beenfast approvals through Vermont, even recently. Even though there are still some people who filed back in March who have not gotten approved, they are processing the recent applications as well. If your case status says approved online, I'd be inclined to believe it.

And actually, that timeframe is not far off from how fast Vermont typically processes. We went through VSC in less than three weeks.

Happy friday to all!!!! Im sooo thrilled to announce that today was officially my last day of "Schooling" for TCF Bank....10 days in a desk was soooo boring, but, it was paid so i cannot complain right? Monday marks my first day in the bank and im soo excited for it...Sofyan is working late tonight...what else is new...our kitchen is tore apart so, we have been forced to eat out for the past two days and it will continue until this guy finishes our cabinets and paints which should probably be sunday....it kinda sucks for sofyan to break his fast with chinese food or fried chicken, but i dont know what else i can do.....hope everyone has a great weekend!!!
Jenn!
Ain't nothin' sucky about fried chicken! kicking.gif
