I don't know if this is good news or not. The new case number gets assigned at the NVC. I have no way to track the progress or to even know if the embassy got it. I called the DOS and they said it is NOT the way it's done.
True about the case number being assigned at the NVC. Why not contact the embassy ... are you able to do that. I know with the Trinidad embassy, my lawyer is able to contact them to inquire when it arrived. When our lawyer inquires on our case, he contacts the embassy straight away, he has not even attempted to go to the NVC at all which I don't know why, but maybe this has been done before. Where exactly does it state that your case was forwarded to the embassy directly? One the NOA2 snail mail notice? What about your senator, can you inquire there? Either way, don't stress about it. Everything happens for a reason and it will work out for you! Have faith, and I will keep you in my prayers!
