Hello everyone.

I just want to know if anyone here has tried entering the US through Honolulu as Port of entry on a K3 visa? Or anyone knows of this is possible? Is it a friendly POE? I have always entered the US through SFO (2 times) and JFK(1x) on a B1/B2 visa.

My husband and I plan to meet in Hawai'i before going to SFO.

Thank you for your comments.

Yes that is a port of entry to the USA, and then domestic flights from there will bring you to the mainland. The flight from Hawaii will arrive in SFO at the domestic gates and you wont need to deal with the POE there, since the flight originated in a state.

I would suspect it is no different than any other POE.

I went through Honolulu on a CR-1 and excepting for flight delays and heat, there was no issues. Staff were very helpful. Be prepared for a long walk to the domestic terminals or catch a ummmmm shute, forget what they call the transit thingies lol As far as airports go, I loved honolulu.
