Already posted on the embassy forum but i'm just so excited so i'm posting here as well! Got an interview date today, for just 2 weeks away, doesn't leave much planning time!!

how come when you call from here they're absolutely useless, and scottish (no offense to scottish people, i just mean i was shocked that they were all scottish), and when the USC calls from there they're brilliant and give out interview dates and everything!!! well that may have just been me...

anyway, to anyone waiting for interviews from london, i hope you get them soon!!

ARG! I know what you mean. They were so rude to me once that I swore to my husband I would never step foot on Brit soil again! I've calmed down since...but....

From what I understand, the call center is in Glasgow.

I think it can be the accent - the scottish can sound a little on the aggresive side even when they are not!!! it is funny because some accent can seem very soothing - the irish for instance have a very calming twang at times ,,,

Who did you call. We are about 10 days behind you, packet 3 sent back 23/09 and would like to be away from the UK by early November.

We have a VoIP phone in our house in London from a US provider with an Oregon number on it. If we haven't heard anything by end of next week I can get my wife to call and they will see a call coming in from the States, might help us out.

personally I loved the scottish accent when I called and found the people as helpful as they can be. I think it is a company contracted by the embassy to take their calls so there is very little they can do for you really.
