This was in my email box today. I am not sure exactly what it is saying. Help!!!

On September 29, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case. It means they received your RFE response. Nothing more than that.

Its good news. It is like an NOA but special for the RFE. Could we call it NOA1.rfe?

Now that you have your RFE email receit you 'may' get your approval very soon.
There have been several NOA2 lately following shortly after the RFE email receit.
My approal was 9/28 , email notiication came today and I received my RFE email receit 9/23.
5 days from RFE receit to NOA2.
Good luck and find your dancing shoes so you will have them in case you will be approved
next week.

As other VJ members have been saying this just simply means that there is movement on your paperwork and that you should be getting that RFE form in the mail any day now. This is a good thing because it means that soon after you receive and send off your RFE form you will be approved soon! I got this very same email due the Imbra Laws that went into effect March 6, 2006. So no worries, this email as vague as it is, is a good indication of that someone is now processing your paperwork. good.gif

That same info was on USCIS website waiting for me when i logged in to check on the status of my case weeks ago. I think the concrete interpretation to that notice may be that your case will have a shorter processing time than what obtains on USCIS processing times for your service center. That is not surprising because your case would have been reviewed to almost completion pending the RFE sent to you.

It means the final determination of your case is pretty much around the corner: Approval here u come....
