Estou aqui para iniciar a contagem regressiva para eu ir embora e deixar de ser Ms. para passar a ser Mrs.

Mas, porém, contudo, sobretudo, a propósito essa não é uma contagem só minha... e sim de outras migoquinhas que estão indo embora no mesmo weekend que eu YAY !!!

Vamos lá então, meninas... 2 semanas !!

I'm getting nervous !!! My bags are packed and HUGE! I'm scared of the extra baggage that I'll have to pay.

Luis has been busy preparing the apartment, and I can't wait to see it!

well... mine aren't packed yet... but I have 95 % of my things packed and ready to go... I am sending everything by mail so no worries. I will just have my 3 bags on the plane (aren't that huge), my purse and my wedding dress which I went to pick up today and looks wonderful

I picked up my wedding dress yesterday, I loved it ´cus I´ll get to wear it many times.

I had to repack everything today! One bag had 65 lbs and the other 75 lbs. Each can´t exceed 70 lbs or it´s excess baggage even if they´re not above 140 lbs combined. ARGH! I can´t wait to arrive there and not worry about packing anymore! Unpacking is so much more fun!!!

Anyway, FOUR DAYS TO GO !!!

here's how to cheat - how big a carryon can you have? pack it to the max
get your heaviest coat - wear it on the plane. that will save a lot of weight too.

I got lucky Charles came and I used his limit, I'd have to pack and unpack a lot if I was travelling alone. I hope you can pack everything, amiga

I got my dress yesterday too.. and it is very beautiful
I am sending almost everything through mail and using just a big backpack to take my clothes with me and 2 other bags so I am good to go... even tho I still didn't pack them

Charles, they only allow 12 lbs as carry on, but yeah, I am taking a little more than that and hoping they don't notice my back twisted to a side due to the weight of the bag and decide to check it's weight.
Also, I am lucky that I'll live in PR, meaning I'm bringing ZERO coats in my luggage. Just a couple of long sleeve blouses to wear in the movies maybe, 'cus of the A/C.

I'll show my dress once I get access to a digital camera, since mine broke down. I did show a similar dress in that dress thread in the OT, except mine has thin straps.

You girls are all getting the dress in Brazil. I think I gained 10 kg on this trip to rio lol I found out I can't eat like Charles or I'll look like a whale , so good thing i didnt buy my dress, now i'll close my mouth and buy it close to the wedding.

I got mine here 'cus I wanted to get it made and wouldn't know any costureiras in Puerto Rico. I did think of just browsing through stores since I'm not getting a bride's dress.

Nessa, if you need any suggestions about where to find wedding dresses in the US, let me know. I had to plan my wedding in 5 days and managed to find the dress of my dreams on the first day...and it wasn´t expensive at all.

Hi Nessa...

I saw it and it´s stunning!! Guessing that you already did your research, I´m sure you know where to find it. Buying a wedding dress is very exciting and I´m sure you will have lots of fun!

Mine was very simple...it was actually a bridesmaid dress, in white. I got married during the day so I decided not to wear a long one. I was lucky because the dress fit me like a glove and didn´t need any alterations. I wouldn´t have had time to have it altered if I bought a long one anyway (I´m short, so they are always too long!)!
