I just checked with the NVC and they still haven't received my case from CSC. So frustrating. My NOA2 date was Sept. 1 and still no sign.

Not that you guys can do anything to speed it along. I just needed to vent it out somewhere.

Vent away. I am betting you will be in the next batch..didn't someone say they often get them on Mondays?

I think it is Monday's when the NVC gets stuff from the CSC, and I cannot recall, but there is another day towards the end of the week when the NVC also gets stuff from the CSC. This is all provided that the CSC doesn't sit on all the approved cases and actually keeps mailing them out at a good rate.

I kept doing the automation answering service but I didn't know they did do that for K-1. I just emailed them yesterday and today they answered with the good news. It was already forwarded to the US Embassy in Japan.

I would suggest emailing them. I might give them enough time to throughly look it up and answer.

I'm in the same boat. We were reaffirmed (approved a second time) on 8/30. What really ticks me off is there are people that were approved a week after ours and theirs are already being sent to the consulate.

Not that I am mad at the ones that are being bumped ahead of us, but rather the CSC for their lack of structure.

That's good news!

P.S. The automated system doesn't work for K-1s.

The consulate, in my opinion, is worse than the USCIS... laughing.gif

Hi, George. Sorry it's taking so long!

Just to let you know: I called and emailed NVC the same day to checkon our petition. When I called I was told it hadn't yet been entered into the system. But then later the same day they replied to my email and told me the petition had already been sent to the embassy.

So, I would keep emailing them. Put the receipt number in the subject line with no other words. (That's what I did. Just guessing it helped, not sure.)

Good luck!

Yea, I think it's hit-n-miss at this point.
Another K-1 petitioner that has the same NOA2 date as me has already confirmed that NVC has forwarded his file to his consulate.
I, on the other hand, received an email reply from NVC on Friday, that they haven't even seen my file yet. So much for "batch" mailings from CSC .....?? You'd think that they'd send all "like" approvals in a single batch. Guess not.

We too have no notice that our case (approved Sept 1) has been received by NVC. I do not understand those who get no notice, only to receive an email that their case is already en route to their consulate... What of the need to file the I864 financial affidavit and the petitioner's need to file the DS230 with NVC?? Are these now items that are simply brought to the interview, and the beneficiary need only give notice to the consulate that those forms are complete and ready for presenting at the time of interview? I am wondering if Ewok and Aussiewench's pinned Discussions on this part of the process may be outdated with all the re-structuring...

They handle the K-1 and K-3 visa differently than the CR1. The CR1 will be processed through NVC and then sent to the consulate. The "K" visas are sent to the consulate, and the consulate does their own processing.

You don't do the I-864 and the DS-230 on the "K" visas.
