She needs to apply for a visa from the UK government. Start here:

I will add that it was extremely easy to get a fiancee visa to the UK. I sent my application to the UK consulate in Los Angeles on a Thursday and had the visa in my hand on Monday. It was a piece of cake. I got mine in spring 2001 so the guidelines may have changed since then, but I will say this about the Home Office: they processed all three of my visa applications (fiancee, LLR, permanent resident) more quickly than the US government has managed to process one of my husband's.

Thank you all for taking the time to respond to my queries, I will be asking my girlfriend to apply for the fiancee visa, obtaining that will allow us to marry here in the UK. She does not intend to stay more than a a week here in the UK because of her job.
But not sure if there will be additional documents involved
Thanks

Why are you doing all that if she's not planning on settling in the UK?

Why are you doing all that if she's not planning on settling in the UK?

Because they want to marry in the UK.

Recent rule change circa last summer, IIRC.

Meh; wondering what the point is, but can't honestly say I care. I steered them where they need to go to get the visa, the rest is up to them. luv.gif

If all you want to do is get married but she doesn't want to settle in the UK, the information I gave you is wrong. I just assumed that she wanted to settle here.

If all she wants to do is come here and get married, then leave, this is where you need to start:
