Just spoke to the docs in London. They said they will be examining my husband's letter tonight. If it's OK then they'll send the packet back to the Embassy (who should issue the visa). If not we'll hear from them on Monday.

Nervous!

Thanks; all we can do now is hope. It's out of our hands now.

I'm 99% sure everything will be OK, but I'm still nervous. unsure.gif wacko.gif

He is, but I don't think he needs it. GPs in the UK are very quick to prescribe anti-depressants, probably because the wait for therapy on the NHS is ridiculous and private treatment is expensive.

He's never exhibited any harmful behavior (no suicide attempts, no self-harming, no neglect of his responsibilities) so the approval should be pretty much in the bag.

Cool !, I hope so.. Did they ask about depression on the medical then ?

They ask about it on the forms. I'm told this GP letter is routine and nothing to worry about. I don't think they normally deny depressed people unless they're a danger to themselves, which my husband clearly isn't.

So what does the actual question say ?, what is the form number ?

I don't know, I didn't fill it out. It was the one they handed to my husband at the medical itself. I didn't get a good look at it.
