Once every day, not really the telephone but Skype.

When Claudeth was still in the Philippines we would talk every day and sometimes several times a day. The phone company had a deal where I paid about 15 cents a minute My bill was huge! I should have bought stock in the phone company

When we were apart I'd speak a few times a month only. I couldn't afford more than $20 in phone cards per month.

Usually 3-4 times per week.

I call her twice a day...When she awakes in the morning and when she is getting ready for bed... 7 days a week.. calls can go from 5 min. to 30-40 min. Phone bill is usually $125 or so.. thank God for .119 per min..with one sec rounding..

We also email daily... app 3-5 emails.... Pic's very often... hahahhaa She was worried about me eating..so I took pictures of my Frig and Food Closet...hhahahahaha

I couldn't do it less then that... I miss her that much...

Does it count if it's Skype? It's free and I can watch him in the cam.

We talk 4-5 times each week, normally about the same time each evening.

Since she joined grad school, just about daily in the evening, plus one or two short calls in teh daytime, but not everyday,

However, we are in touch with each other most of the day thru IM since we both are online most of the time, thankfully yahoo IM also lets us SMS each other's mobiles too for free, if the other person isn't available.

we just got Vonage.... hubby should have gotten it when we were still living apart... it would have saved us a lot of money....

sometimes we would talk several times a day and somedays we would talk once a day but for a longer time... the last year or so I found a good phone card which saved us a lot of money...

how do you get "free" interantional phone calls with vonage? going to the their website, it looks like domestic long distance is included in the monthly-rate, but international calls carry a per-minute charge. 23-cents to the philippines which is more than any calling card.

vonage only offers free international calls to certain Countries...

Free on Skype with webcam almost every day, sometimes twice a day if we are both home. Thank god for Skype!!!

We both have broadband internet, voice call & webcam conversation most of the time when he wakes up or before going to bed to complete our day.

I call him at work and usually when I go to bed, so it adds up to 1 to 2 times a day. By now it has become more a question of time than money, because with a special number i dial it costs me only 0,9 cents a minute, would cost me way more to call my next door neighbour

Cuba has to be one of the most expensive countries to call, as the "cheapest" I have found is around 50 cents a minute... which actually turns out to be more because of other fees. We talk as much as we can, but mostly e-mails everyday.

Guys, calling Cuba is so expensive that we just talk about 1 hour every 2 to 3 weeks. We remind each other of how expensive the calls are and how it is more imporant to save money for our future plans than to spend them on these calls. We remind each other we love each other and that our love is way beyond and will make it through anything, including .. this of not being able to speak on a daily basis. We both have a lot of faith.

Once again though I must repeat... coÑo!!! Cuba is expensive to call! My last phone bill was $400.00 USD. :-) I talked for about 5 hours in that month!!! JAJA!!! gotta laugh or I go crazy.

Oh goodness! Wouldn't it be ultimately cheaper to get an internet connection? I don't know if that is possible where your fiance is, but using Skype could make a big difference.

Maybe I am just being naive here though. There's definitely a lot I don't know about telecommunications with Cuba...

We talk on the phone everynight. Sometimes on weekends, in the morning and at night! Usually about a 1/2 hour or so at night, sometimes longer. Earlier in our relationship we went without sleep a lot! I think our longest phone call was 7 hours...hehe

I have trouble falling asleep if for whatever reason we can't talk on the phone when I'm going to bed...

We talk everyday...It's what keeps me going. He calls me at my lunch time that's his night time (the day before) Other aussies will understand the crazy time difference....

oh and I agree with Kitkat we use skype as much as possible.

not everyday but we talk everyday online night and day!!! he calls me most of the time, and its kinda hard for us not to hear from each other everyday... when we were starting he calls me often and so do I to him. But since we're applying for a visa is quite expensive and theirs a lot of saving to do for the future we minimized calling each other so I would say a few times a week he calls me and oh yes skype ...

WELL, IN OUR TOWN THERE IS NO INTERNET ACCESS. AS A MATTER OF FACT WHERE WE ARE FROM (I SAY WE, BECAUSE I WAS BORN THERE, THOUGH NOW I'M A US CITIZEN)...THERE ARE HARDLY PHONES. WHENEVER I CALL HIM, I CALL MY AUNTS HOUSE AND SHE RUNS ACROSS THE STREET WITH THE WIRELESS PHONE I GOT HER AND HANDS IT TO HIM. I'M LUCKY HE LIVES ACROSS THE STREET FROM MY AUNT'S HOUSE OTHERWISE WE'D REALLY BE IN TROUBLE... BECAUSE GURLLL I WRITE LETTERS AND THEY DON'T EVEN GET THERE, SAME WITH HIM WRITING ME LETTERS. IT IS SO DIFFICULT. YOU WON'T BELIEVE HOW MANY PICTURES AND LETTERS HAVE GOTTEN LOST OVER THE PAST 5 YEARS. ANYHOW, YEAH CUBA IS A PAIN IN THE BOOTIE TO DEAL WITH WHEN IT COMES TO COMMUNICATION. THE ONLY WAY IS CALLING IN BY PHONE AND KEEPING YOUR MONTHLY PHONE BILL FOR FUTURE USE AS PROOF THAT YOU GUYS COMMUNICATED.

Well I have not hit "millionaire" or "retire" square in the Game of Life, yet so... I call maybe 2-3 times a week, and he will call about the same... we talk more online on our scheduled "rendez-vous"...

Several times a day. I use pincity.com (2.9 cents per minute) as Nieves does not have internet access except on Sunday at the Internet cafe. I always call her and if she wants to talk to me she rings my phone and I return the call. November I called her 127 times(some voice mail messegages) for 1407 minutes for a total cost of $41.10. The service is very cheap for all of China I think.

hmm..a short question with a long answer...

where do i start...ok here it goes..

First,I am calling my hubby in the morning(my time)when i woke up 10-15 mins coz his@ work or sometimes his calling me but it happens everyday.

Second, i send him sms messages as well to keep in touch if that counts...lol

Third, we do voice chat thru YM or skype coz it's free and sending my pic of the day(thanks to DIGICAM)for about 2-3 hours a day after work and before he sleeps.

lastly, i am calling him morning in his time before going to work.

My daily routine that keeps me alive even far away from him.

we talked on the phone everyday or everynight. I call him and he call me. I sent him SMS everyday.
WE exchanged emails 2-3x a day.

about 5 or 6 texts back and forth each day supplemented with one 20 minute call and a 2 hour webcam chat via skype. Sometimes we skip the webcam chat though if we're busy.

All all allll the time. At least three times a day, usually more like five or six, even if some of those calls are only for a couple of minutes. We spend a total of at least an hour on the phone every day, though. Sometimes several hours. Thanks to the combined wonders of Skype and me being able to make international calls from work without anyone batting an eyelid...

I call his regular phone from this place since it's the cheapest. 1 cent pr min.
If he calls me it's alot more.
We use to use skype for free, but it doesn't work so well for us nomore.
Too many disconnections.

After work we chat on yahoo and sometimes talk.

If this routine break he is calling me through a phonecard.

Webcam we used alot once.
But my computer isn't too good nomore so we can't do both at the same time.
Finally we type alot of emails and sending gifts to eachother. And we share photoes when new things happen.

This way we have done for 3 years.

I have to tell also that I can't forget that even my friends are jealous.
They do have their husband/wife close to them every night and day.
But still they don't have so much attention and close talk.
And they do not feel the same love.

on our first year (2003) He used to call 2 or 3X a day. I told him not to ripped off too much money in calling me
for 1-2 hours a day but now since 2004 to 2006 He was just calling me once a day for 30 minutes with the used of prepaid phone card

Minimum 3 times a day. With an hour difference I wake her in the morning for a 10 to 20 minute chat then she calls at her lunch time for a 20 30 minute chat and at night normally we start at 7:15 and go straight through to 9:30 or 10 depending on how tired we both are.
Yesterday she was feeling pretty bad with a cold and everything that follows so we talked for about 10 minutes every 2 hour until 1 am my time then I called her 5 am her time. Only two conversations so far today she is still under the weather.

2x a day..
1st time.. to make sure he is up for work and to say good morning (for about 10 min)
2nd time.. to talk how our day was etc.. and we talk for about 2-3 hrs

Answering for how things were before he was in the US: about twice a week, usually for a couple hours (he's a night owl, so about 6-8 pm Eastern which is 11-1am in the UK), and we would IM every day, sometimes twice a day.

But we were really just friends for most of the time before he was here (and we rarely talked on the phone while we were just friends), we started dating just a few months before he came to the US on a work visa (after he'd already been offered the job).
